the removal of physical media is not the inevitable progression of improving tech, its like the removal of the 3.5mm jack: purely a result of profit physical games still account for about 1/5th of all sales of video games

but by only selling digital games sony can be the ultimate arbiter of their price. they can stop you lending games and force another sale instead. they can stop the sale of second hand games and keep prices artificially high. they can set any price they want and that will be your only option.

So I'm quitting streaming services, I can't even afford to put my own stuff on there. But I decided, everything I make off my own music can go into purchasing music for my library. I think it's a worthwhile idea.

If you see this, and want to do a discography trade, I'd love to have other homemade artists in my ears. esp if you make punk music

You know that bullshit when you're absolutely ready to be loved, you meet someone, and you just see it. You see the future in their eyes.

and then it only last two months.

Well, not exactly- it drags on for 8 months to a year, trying and trying to get this person to go to therapy because your type is the most anxious men on the planet, and he won't see you in person- and yet you'll talk for hours. He'll say he loves you, and you stop him, but you don't want to.

He's IT. but he's not.

That's what this is about. And no, he is not my current partner, thank god.

My partner listened to this a while back, and he said, "wow, you really don't like yourself"

it's true! when I wrote most of these songs, I really didn't. But that's a common theme- when I feel disliked by the world or people around me, I assume it's just something I'm placing on myself, or doing myself. I assume the hate comes from inside. And then I dated in NYC for ten years under that assumption- I was the problem. I was asking too much. So I accepted less. and then less.

Look, I'm not saying meeting the love of your life is the answer to everything- but damn, it really fucking helped. And frankly, releasing this just before we met allowed me to release all those feelings too.

Anyway, my favorite songs on it are Redial and Toxic. Hope someone comes across this post.
