"—And why would I do that?" Head cants with her question & her golden eyes look him over as if he's nothing more than prey caught within her trap. Her gaze lands on the outline against the fabric of his garments & her mouth twitches with a smirk. A step forward is taken & she lowers herself to eye level with the tiefling. One hand grasps at his jaw to hold his face & the other begins to trail down his body, beginning at his chest & dragging down painfully slow along his abdomen. He's warm & toned beneath her touch, enough to get the heat stirring around within the pit of her stomach all the same. Her path downward stops just at his waistline, teasing him with the prospect of a touch where he most desires.

"Seems as if you prefer yourself like this." She flattens her palm against him then, through the fabric, & presses down just enough to allow him some pressure. It won't be long before the effects of her magic wane & he will have the ability to make his move, one that no doubt she'll enjoy herself. For now, however, she'll appreciate having him on his knees like this. "Tell me I'm wrong." Her words are spoken like a challenge, her palm continuing to grind down against his length. Enough to make him want more.

annoyance twisted across the tiefling’s features , his brows lowering further as the elf’s needless commentary continued . the relentless pounding in his skull , the splitting pressure with each step , ( a reminder of a sharp knife splitting ends , membrains . . . ) - it should have been enough . and yet , astarion managed to match it with nothing more than his voice ( irritating , high pitched - too much for senstive nerves ) , his theatrics grating against already frayed patience . truthfully , his ascension had done little more than inflate an already unbearable ego .

❝ . . . you mean with disdain ? and the persistent urge to tear those pretty little nails from your fingers ? ❞ amused , his mind reeled at the various methods to cook said finger in a nice stew . weak . fragile . bones that would splinter beneath the weight of the tiefling’s strength . ( he often wondered how alois had managed to remain alive in such a delicate state ) . others might have found his confession endearing - but the dark urge remained unmoved . instead , he indulged in something almost uncharacteristic , ( a slow , measured pat against the half elf’s head . ) demeaning in poise , the tiefling seeing nothing more than a frightened unworthy child .

There's a faint twist of her lips in amusement to see the tiefling so easily brought to grovel at her feet. Her head cants, taking in the sight before her. “Isn't it interesting how easy it is to bring a man, even one such as yourself, down to their knees without a thought? Perhaps you are not as strong as you believe yourself to be.” She's provoking him. (from seraphina)

his heart raced within his chest as bone bent and threatened to break beneath the weight of her will . ( magic coiled tight around him ) , forcing him down , forcing his gaze upward toward seraphina . there was rage . . . raw , feral , chaining him - an animal locked onto its prey . but beneath , his body ached , a broken want ( a desire only she seemed to latch onto ) . a twisted thrill curled through him , a perverse edge to the humiliation that set his blood alight , turning restraint into something dangerously close to hunger . it pooled between his legs , arousal that sharpened his senses . ( keen on her breath , on the wave in her voice , starving . . . just like his urge was ) .

Zaelun's thoughts have been running rampant since she watched the exchange between him & the drow back at the goblin camp. This could not actually be his plan. He could not be foolish enough to side with someone who calls for needless bloodshed. The tieflings are no threat to anyone. They just want safety. Safety that Zaelun had promised she would get for them. This was not that, & she would not be the one wielding the blade that stabs each of them in the back. She comes to a stop just as he does, a good distance behind him. Her stomach twists into a nasty knot of realization. She could have stopped this had she put him down after what he did to Alfira if she hadn't been so stupid to believe that it would not happen again. He had done nothing but left bodies in his wake & she had been nothing more than an accomplice all for the sake of survival. Not anymore. She wouldn't do this. She won't.

"No." She says firmly, her gaze fixed onto the tiefling ahead of her. The look of complete disregard for the lives he plans to take makes her feel sick. She knows this could very well be the end for her & she gives herself this second to make peace with that. Better to die here than participate in anything else that's to come with this one. If she cannot put him down, she can slow him down, & that's good enough for her. Zaelun reaches behind herself without hesitation & withdraws her axe from where it had been resting comfortably against her back, her grip tight around the handle. "Does it feel good? Slaughtering those who cannot protect themselves? Does it make you feel as if you're worthy of drawing the breaths that you take?" She lets the questions hang in the air for only a moment. She knows his answer. "You are a coward."

the dark urge heared his kin reach for her weapon , a subtle twitch of his ears betraying how well he knew that sound - ( the heavy pull of her axe , thick with a bloody promise ) . a sound he had always found endearingly pleasing . it has fallen upon the deserving and the undeserving alike , and each time , it has sung its deathly chorus . ( truthfully , it delighted him to feel zaelun hesitate ) . to hear the quickening rhythm of her heart , the shift in her breath , the urgency in her steps as she dared place herself between him and what he sought . she had been little more than an obstacle . ( an amusement , mountain of clay to be played with , and later forgotten about ) .

❝ . . . amusement ? how . . . quaint . ❞ the tieflings head shifted toward his kin , his expression remaining unreadable , ( untouched by her poor attempt to stir any reaction from him ) . instead , the dark urge stepped forward , a clawed hand reaching for the sharpened end of her beloved axe . a finger drifted along its edge , ( feeling his blood slowly gather and slip from his hand ) . delicious . ❝ . . . but it's the perverse thrill of shattered beliefs and the viscera of gutted bodies that draws my hand - you know this , zaelun . ❞

the tieflings bloodied hand came to rest against his lips , his tongue slipping forward to taste the searing warmth of his own blood , ( a mingling of acid and fire ) . ❝ you're a child . i do not intend to take your threats seriously until you learn to give me some damned respect , mragreshem . ❞

"Oh, how utterly adorable." Astarion starts, eyeing the tiefling with mild amusement. He still thinks he has control between the two of them. Seems someone hasn't quite learned the nature of their new dynamic just yet. Astarion steps forward & grasps at his jaw, a harsh grip, piercing eyes locking onto him. The amusement drops from his features & tone alike. "You will say please, and I won't have to say it again."

it was like a leash snapping taut - sharp and merciless . a shard of ice twisted deep within his skull , forcing obedience , ( unseen chains locking into place , binding thought , binding movement . stopping him ) . always stopping him . the master . . . denying him the urge to reach , to wrap his hand around the vampire's throat and snap it clean off .

instead , pale grey eyes flickered , bleeding faintly into red as the master’s voice echoed , relentless ( a vampire spawn ) . there was something almost embarrassed in the tiefling’s tone as he spoke again , shoulders stiffening beneath the elf’s touch . ( fear ? perhaps . . . or merely his repressed urge's yearing and yelling ) . ❝ . . . please - my lord astarion . ❞ like hot ash in his throat , it burned the dark urge from within . ( thick , rancid and ever choking . acid clawed its way up his chest ) , bitter and alive . the hot bile within him churned , desperate for the sound of bones snapping .

but instead . . . different words left his mouth entire . ( a slave to his masters wishes and wants ) . ❝ . . . please . . . indulge me . wear it - for me , my lord . ❞

a single finger pressed beneath the elf’s chin , tilting it ever so slightly . ( a pity he could not truly see her ) , trace the lines of her face , the subtle fractures of that deranged smile . . . beautiful no doubt . no , all that embraced the dark urge was the faint scent of iron and creeping decay , thick and familiar . a truer performance of an assassin , ( one shaped in the blood of his beloved father , bhaal ) . a blessing , surely , granted beneath the gaze of the true chosen . the tiefling approved . more than that - he found her hunger for carnage . . . delectable . flawed , yes . tainted . but fertile ( enough to grant him the sensation of an idea ) . how easily she could be shaped into something far better .

Astarion narrows his eyes at him, allowing the robes to dangle over his forearm rather than making an effort to do what his beloved would like. His head tilts upward slightly to maintain the eye contact & his lips curl with the faintest of smirks. There's a challenge within the look he gives him. "Hm... I don't think you're asking me quite nice enough, my love. Let's try it again, shall we? Surely you do remember how to say please."

The illithid waves off his thoughts, dismissing the lingering annoyance building. Instead, his hand motions to cup the base of his tentacles—an oddly human act. " …Do you not wish to see your sibling drown by her own insides? " Admittedly, what their dynamic is, is of great interest to the Emperor. He doubts any truth would spill from her tongue, even as she lies on her deathbed. Which is why he’s favoring Gortash in this endeavor.

a low , humorless chuckle slipped from the tiefling . his greyed eyes drifted toward the illithid , lingering there as if weighing the worth of dull , lifeless words . a familiar itch beneath the skin , ( beloved tainted sister . . . orin . ) . their bond had never been anything so simple as blood , who was she , but the remnants of a failed bhaalspawn .

he had not forgiven it ( the sharp pounding pain , the hot bile raging against his throat , the knife splitting him true ) . he would not . no . . . the dark urge would see her broken again , bent back into the place she had so eagerly abandoned . he would take her apart piece by piece , ( her thumbs strung up , a center piece of delicious revenge ) . . . slow , until nothing remained . ❝ . . . our . . . meager rivalry is not merely settled in blood . and certainly not by the likes of you . ❞ ( never a puppet again , the strings were his to hold alone ) . ❝ you'd have me choose - but we both know how this ends . i want them both dead . ❞

Enjoying the show and the suffering most of all, Lucifer watched as the creature spat out his false flesh and reeled in pain. What thrilled him all the more was that he even seemed delighted to have been put through that. Finally, someone who understood his sense of humour! Cruelty.

"I didn't want to disrupt your hubris before I could enjoy a show," Lucifer laughed away, almost excited that his little prank had not only worked but gone down well. "I am unlike anything you will ever encounter again," a certainty as far as Lucifer was concerned, he was after all only second in the hierarchy of the universe, be that in his own head or not as he looked over the other. "The primordial evil," a not so humble brag as he introduced himself, "I am Lucifer."

"And I get the sense I should be glad to meet you," he hummed because he thought for a moment that he might have found a kindred spirit after eons since the last, that of his wife of course. "You handled that better than I thought you would though, usually they're a drivelling mess but you," and he smiled a malicious smile that craved the thought of inflicting more torment, "you seemed to like it."

the dark urge was not easily surprised . he had spent long years slipping the knives of his blood fouled sister ( unworthy of his eye , of his anger ) , only for her dagger to find its home in the cradle of his skull at last , rendering him bleeding , screaming . . . worthless . one strike , and memory faded , ( stiched together by insanity alone ) . one strike , and the place at his father’s side was torn from bloodstained hands . still , the words of lucifer drew a spark of interest from the wreckage of his mind . enough that one brow rose at the devil’s bold introduction . ❝ . . . lucifer . . . ❞ for one lingering moment , the tiefling allowed the devil’s name to rest upon his tongue . ( foreign , commanding , searing as the hells from which it came ) .

there was vanity in it . theatre . a sharpened sort of pride the dark urge knew well in himself . appreciated , if excessive ( . . . considering who the dark urge truly was , almost ironic ) . his clawed hand dragged across his mouth , wiping away the last smear of acid thick blood . it burned where it touched , ( chewing through pale flesh in hungry little kisses ) . his body had welcomed hellfire before . this was another breed of agony entirely .

❝ . . . what's there not to like ? i can still feel the acid clawing through my body , peeling flesh from bone in ribbons . every nerve sings for it . it's truly . . . delicious . ❞
