Meet Levis [pronounced Lev-is] Brightwater, a nonbinary A-spec Mephistopheles Teifling. They're currently on their third run (Sorcerer - Wild magic) to save the world from the 'Grand Design' which basically boils down to ridding the world of the Githyanki, while the survivors of other species are turned into mindless thralls. They've made some questionable choices, sometimes repeatedly, but despite that and the occasionally amusing sass, they do show some promise to make the world a safer place to live in. All while having a little fun along the way...

First completed run (Paladin - Oath of Vengence)

Second completed run (Wizard - Necromancer - Durge)

Regardless of class, they make a point of saving both Scratch and the owl bear cub. Questionably yet, willingly get slapped about by Abdirak and leaning towards Astarion's request - and away from Shadowhearts better judgement - of opening those barn doors... with further amusing antics and some sentimental moments to be seen in the vids below. Then there's Elijah (Abaeir - Lolth Sworn Drow - Warlock - The Fiend - Durge) who took a more blooded approach to start his journey, highlights of all his massacres can be found here - [act one]. He somehow resisted the urge to shout at Scratches master's dead body to prove a point, and 'rescued' him, saved but lost the owl bear yet, learnt how to conjure a delightfully violent Quasit named Shovel. He drank and made merry with the Goblins, though as time progressed watching his friends| companions turn an unsuspecting page, he seems to have found the starting of his own conscience as he heads into Act 3 much to his own distaste. [Spoiler - it didn't last, he sided with, then killed, the Emperor and dommed the brain]

Gale: I fear I've been rather hasty to judge you, Astarion. One heartbreak was quite enough for me, but to experience it as many times as you have must change a person.

Astarion: Thank you, Gale. Let us both hope that broken hearts are a thing of the past.

Gale: Blast scars. Spell and sword alike were used to ravage this battlefield.

Lae'zel: Imagine the glorious din of it all - the streaming banners, the charging knights, the piles of severed limbs and heads.

Gale: I'd rather not, if it's all the same to you.

Gale: I've been pondering something Lae-zel. Why is it that gothyanki have belly-buttons, when they hatch from eggs?

Lae'zel: I did not grant you permission to gaze upon my midriff.

Gale: I - I wasn't gazing, merely observing. Though that can hardly be said for a certain someone else...

Lae'zel: The more I learn of this plane, Astarion, the more I believe 'love' is its greatest disease.

Astarion: Oh, I don't know. The screaming fever is pretty bad.

Lump the Enlightened: Would you look at this place? Such a pastoral escape. Free of predators. Annoyances. Obligations. One excepted, of course. We made a bargain, sweet stuff - and I've come to collect. Alyce: [intimidation]: We have a new bargain. I pay nothing, and you leave the camp alive. Lump the Enlightened: Mmm. That's a fight I may not win. Pity, too - I found an ale that would pair nicely with your marrow. Alas, I must find another's bones to crack.

Narrator: Regretably, the corpse before you is not your only company on this dark night. Footsteps approach. Not your butler, come to celebrate this splendid deed, but the others, woken by your happy laughter, or the sound of knife on bone. Astarion: You killed again? We needed them. Shadowheart: Are you that far gone that you don't even realise what you have done..? All the more reason to put you out of your misery.

Astarion: From sweet woodland to stinking swamp. Can you do tricks like that, Gale? Gale: Easiest thing in the world. Though I'd do it the other way round.

So Alyce may have accidentally gone Slayer, their peeps were less than impressed...

Wyll: Hells. Is this really what you've become - the kind of monster I once vowed to slay? Don't bother answering - I already know. Astarion: The best you turn into... as charming as it is... Just make sure those claws don't come anywhere near me. Alyce: Roar. Astarion: Oh my. Horrifying. Karlach: It's done, then. There's a Slayer among us. Look, I don't care what you look like - what form you can take. I care who you are. And you're... you're not who I thought you'd be. Who I'd hoped you'd be. Lae'zel: You have become the Slayer - or has a Slayer merely found a host too weak to evict it? I shouldn't need to say it, but - be careful who you take as an ally. Especially when that ally's taken residence inside you.

Narrator: As you step into the silent water, a foreign dread travels through you. It curls its way up your leg, squeezing tight.

Shadowheart: Living without sunlight isn't so bad, Astarion. Where I came from, we would often work exclusively under the cover of darkness.

Astarion: Yes, but you chose darkness. I was cast into it. The sun was banished from my life - forbidden. And we all lust after the forbidden, don't we?

Astarion: I - F - or is it an E? Is it even a letter? What damned language is this? Alyce: [tiefling]: It's Infernal. Astarion: Ah! What the hells are you - wait, did you say Infernal? Alyce: What language were you expecting? Astarion: I don't know. Not that. But you can read it? You can tell me what it says? Alyce: What's the magic word? Astarion: Can you read what's on my damned back? Please. Alyce: Of course. Turn around. Astarion: Thank you. Narrator: You run your eyes over the runes hacked into his flesh and recognise an all-too-familiar language: Infernal. It's the language of the Hells. The lines describe oaths and 'the fires below', but the language is fragmented and strange. This is just a piece of a larger text. Astarion: And? What does it say? Alyce: Something about 'the fires below'? It's just fragments of Infernal legalese. Astarion: An Infernal pact? But not even the whole text? What was that bastard up to? Alyce: You really have no idea what this is? Astarion: None at all... Cazador was only figuratively hellish - there were never any devils hanging around the crypt. Whatever he's left carved in my flesh, it's a mystery to me. Thank you, by the way. This is... Well, it's something. Alyce: Just make sure it doesn't get us killed, all right? Astarion: Hells forbid.

Wyll: I saw you pressing a bunch of flowers the other day in a book. Not like you to keep something forever.

Shadowheart: They'll crumble away in time... but no harm in appreciating their beauty until then.

Alyce: Nice form. Where'd you learn to dance like that? Wyll: I've attended my fair share of fancy balls and masquerades. A few elegant moves can turn all the right heads. I figured it was time to brush up on my skills. I wouldn't want to fail my new dance partner. Alyce: A new partner? And who might that be? Wyll: As luck would have it, they just arrived. May I have this dance? Alyce: [Smile and bow]: [Acrobatics] Perform a simple cadence. Wyll: Bravo. Bravo! Alyce: Take a bow. Wyll: Now perhaps we might try a more - intimate style. Alyce: Press your lips against Wyll's. Wyll: So much shadow around us. To think I almost missed the light. Well - it's getting late. We can't face the morrow if we don't bid farewell to the now. Alyce: I was hoping we might spend the night... together. Wyll: I'm tempted, trust me. I thought my heart might burst with every step. But I still keep faith in the old tales of love, the once-upon-a-times and the happily-ever-afters, I'd like to do this the proper way. The way of the old romances sung by the bards.
