Last but not least in our staff introductions we have Hannah!
Q: What is the funniest thing you have ever done or said? A: I cannot say because I am basically just a walking Tumblr text post generator and the funny things I say cannot actually be credited to me. *PSA donât make internet jokes in real life kids no one will laugh.
Q: If you could bring one musician back from the dead, who would it be and why? A: Kurt Cobain, and I would ask him if Courtney Love really killed him (we know she did) HEREâS TO LOOKIN AT YOU COURTNEY.
Q: If you were head of a major TV station for one day, what would you play? A: Top 30 Iconic Larry Stylinson Moments (all 3 of them) on loop. All day. Blessing the people one moment at a time. (ps go google these videos right now itâs for science)
âHistory, despite its wrenching pain, cannot be unlived. But if faced with courage, need not be lived again.â -Maya Angelo
Happy Black History Month! We are starting a four-part series on Facebook called Women Who Soar. Every Friday we will spotlight one Black Woman who impacted the course of history.
We know that as a demographic Black Women have been one of, if not the most oppressed groups in American history. But what our history classes failed to teach us is how vital Black Women have been to the American narrative of the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries.
These women, along with others not featured, taught us that neither racism nor sexism can keep us from making a change.
Our list is obviously nowhere near complete, and we encourage you to share your favorite women in history with us throughout the month!
[Image of Black women marching for equal rights in the 1960's with signs that say "We demand equal rights now," "We march for integrated schools now," "We demand equal housing now," and "We demand an end to bias now."]
In which we explore the history and impact of intersectionality theory on the feminist movement - and what it truly means for its future.
This article by Rebel Girls is a perfect representation of what Lilith is striving to achieve. Until every human can live free of oppression, the fight is not over. Join us in the conversation; like, share, discuss, contribute your ideas. We want to hear from you!
Today is a day of two firsts-
We are so excited to feature our first artist - Christell Victoria Roach. Inspired by the film Girl Rising and violations of young girls rights around the globe she wrote Letters to a Child Bride. Much of Christellâs work encompasses many different human rights topics, bringing light to the atrocities many face but seldom understand.
This piece is also the first post in the Let Her Learn blog. Designed to work as a campaign, Let Her Learn draws attention to the global climate of girls education. Through stories, scholarly articles, artwork, and conversation we can change the lives of many young girls around the world.
Give her the attention she deserves and âȘ#âletherlearnâŹ
Next we introduce Sarah!
Q: If your life was a movie, which actor would play you? A: Ryan Gosling or Steve Carell depending on what point in my life weâre talking about
Q: If you could fight anyone in history, who would it be? A: I would definitely fight Andrew Jackson for being a complete jack-off.
Q: What is the most random thing youâve ever watched all the way through on Netflix? A: Big Trouble in Little China. I recommend this movie to every person ever.
âIâm feminist. I love feminism, and I love talking about feminism. We hear the argument "feminism today is just women complaining online about safe spaces and harassment." While this is an overused and ignorant argument against modern feminism, I know that my feminist activism could always use a bit of focusing. I generally feel overwhelmed with the amount of change I want to happen, not just in America but in different parts of the world. This overwhelmed feeling can lead me to becoming inactive. When this happens I look for a positive way to make myself feel a little better about the world and look for ways to combat the patriarchal society we live in. One of my favorite ways to get involved in the feminist movement is by finding people who are already doing something that I want to get involved with. Non-profits are my favorite, and I love volunteering my time and skills to help them accomplish their goals. Here are are a few non-profits who will benefit from your support, whether that be by financial donations or time/labor donations.â

Q: Would you rather have 100 kittens or 3 baby sloths? A: SLOTHS ARE ADORABLE.
Q: If you could take only three items with you to a deserted island, what would they be? A: Is 3 books a reasonable answer?
