The brilliant PAWS recently released their rather fine album "Misled Youth". One of our reviewers gave her opinion of it here.
Another comeback band, the fabulous Yeah Yeah Noh (aka tick tick cross) also recently played a reformation gig in Brum. Review here.
Another 80's indie band returns with some live shows. This time The Primitives. Check out the video above for a trip down memory lane then go over to Louder Than War to read a review of one of their 'comeback' gigs.
Today's new band of the day was The Amusiacs. Krautrock, Free jazz blues, that sort of thing. Like the sound of the video above then go read about them on Louder Than War here.
The new issue of A Short Fanzine About Rocking will be out next month, around June 19th I hope, and I need advertisers!
Ad rates are dead cheap - just £20 for a full page, £10 for a half page, and the back cover is still available for £30.
The last issue of the zine sold super-well, and the new...
We interviwed Nick about ASFAR a month ago. Read what he said here.
HR from Bad Brains recently did an interview with Noisey. It touched on all sorts of things like Jay Z etc but for me the most notable moment occurred at ~ 2.35 when he began singing a Carpenters song. Considering last night was 70's night on tv it seems apt to draw your attention to this today. For plenty of Bad Brains news visit Louder Than War here.
Richard Hawley ‘Standing At the Sky’s Edge’
We put a review of Richard Hawley's new album on Louder Than War today. Read it over here. And stream the album through Spotify while you do.
The Briggs have just released this video for Panic. It will feature on the current album they're working on. Good old fashioned Punk Rock. Cracking stuff.
We recently put "An Appreciation Of Black Keys" up on Louder Than War. Just today P4k announced a documentary of the band is in production which director Noah Abrams called "a buddy comedy with perhaps the greatest soundtrack of all time." Exciting news. See above their most recent video release, Tighten Up.
Being as how Louder Than War have covered lots of Gallows related stuff and even more Minor Threat stuff we thought some of you may find this video released a few days ago of Gallows covering Minor Threat's "Seeing Red" interesting. Thoughts?
Goldblade released a new video last week for track "We're All In It Together". It's really good, obviously, but we're biased. Check it out for yourselves above and read more about it here.
We put a review of Laibach's Iron Sky Trailer Soundtrack on Louder Than War today. Watch the Extended Mix of the soundtrack above.
We had a review of last weekends Simple Things festival go up on site yesterday. One of the highlights was psychedelic rock outfit Bo Ningen. Above is their recently released video for the track "Gasmask".
Grimes: Nightmusic
We put a review of Grimes London gig on the website recently. Read it here. Above is a video of Grimes track Nightmusic.
Remember how we reported on Disney selling a Joy Division inspired micky mouse t-shirt? Well now they're (we presume) giving Kurt Cobain a similar treatment with the above figurine. The lefty guitar and sunglasses kind of give it away. What do you think?
We reviewed Slugabeds new album today. You can find it here. Above is a mini mix of the album.
