This room has a split personality – quite literally. The Au Vieux Panier Hotel in France features “The Panic Room,” where the contrast between mellow relaxation and jumping-off-the-walls madness is jarring. Designed by artist Tilt, one side is completely bare and white, while the other half is decked out with flamboyant graffiti from floor to ceiling. What’s even more interesting is that the hotel room designs change every year. Six rooms, six artists, one heck of an experience.

Excerpts from my presentation for an elective I took in the Spring of 2012 @Parsons New School for Design called DEATH of COOL with Jessica Glasscock as a Design Strategies major. I thought I would celebrate the 2 years since REX’s conception by sharing whom I regard as “influencers” in the hip-hop and fashion world today based on the concept of KIDULThood.

P.S. Spot 10 and 11 went to Chiddy Bang, hiphop duo from Philadelphia for their remix of MGMTs “kids”- “Opposite of Adults”
