You know what? If Rhett and Blu don't end up together, it's fine.

Like genuinely! Not all crushes end up well. Sometimes you just have a crush on a straight person. It happens, trust me, I KNOW.

But I do hope they remain friends, no matter what happens. It's been nice seeing Rhett open up to other people again, especially with the conditions of his household - he needs a support system, people to rely on and talk to outside of his home.

And I love seeing Blu's character development!! This time around, he isn't doing something drastic because of his interaction with Rhett. He actually TELLS Gryn about his anxiety!!! I think that's a super big step :D Honestly everyone's character development is really nice. Seeing them go through these painfully real, human situations is also "neat."

Also I think it’s important to note that Blu seems to be religious, and religion can really change how you see yourself. It’s not easy to start questioning if you never even think about queerness as a viable option. But we don’t know too much about his relationship with religion and self identity yet so let see!!!

what makes the backrooms scary

alright, i probably ain't gonna put it as eloquently as most, but I think the scariest thing about the backrooms comes from being STUCK.

When you fall into the backrooms, you are now stuck in a new location, one you are not familiar with and could possibly have dangers in it. Immediately you will be put on edge. It is natural, to have this fear of the unknown. You will want to retreat - except you can't. I would imagine the initial panic would be horrifying.

Now, it depends on which version of the backrooms you like to believe in, but I personally really like the idea of the initial backrooms: endless walls, fluorescent lighting, musty smells and damp carpet. Seeing the same damn wall paper over and over and over again. You are alone. There is no one here but you.

And as you continue to look for a way out, your hope slowly fades as the days pass. Your hunger pangs get worse and you think longingly of home. Your friends, your family, your people. You doggedly keep wandering the endless halls, looking for that exit.

the backrooms are exactly what they say they are: The space behind the stage, the walls that (maybe?) border our reality. You are now outside of that world, a spectator who cannot observe, forever trapped behind the yellow wallpaper.

Backrooms movie

watched the backrooms movie, it was alright

I feel like if it was done Blair With style a bit more it could have been more fun. It wasn't a bad movie though! The set design, impeccable. The acting, I feel, got to shine better as the movie progressed. I feel like the beginning was a little stilted. The middle was the best part, it really did have that "oh my god we're stuck in here feeling" (though this isn't true as we'll later find out).

I'll give it a solid 6/10
