I wish I could've been online more last week. Even though it would have been possible in my mental state, I was mainly writing walls of text on a forum where I met people with the same kind of OCD as I have. At the end of the week I also went running, exploring the city and shopping, something that can only be done when my sister is around. It took more time than planned. Upcoming week is going to be a tense one again, much like the week of the 8th. Somewhere later that week I should be back. I really need to do something about my day/night rhythm, so I have more time to do stuff like Tumblr. Sorryman :<

The pool scene at the end of episode 12 was literally the most important scene of the episode. Rin presented Haru with two paths,

the path away from competitive swimming

and the path towards it

and is the first person to ask Haru was is it he wants to do

and Haru is the one that takes the step forward to swim beside the National Team, the first time he’s taken a step forward(figuratively and literally) towards his future.

Actually there is a bit more of a subtly of what Sousuke said to Rin that was sort of lost in translation.

Sousuke says he wants to truly become Rin’s friend, and then he follows with “Omae to,” which yes given the context means “Rin, your friend,” as translated by the subbing groups.

However, it’s kind of an open interpretation because “Omae To” means “with you,” so there are so many implications that can come from that line.

He wants to be WITH Rin. He wants Rin to be in his life, he wants Rin to know he wants him to be by his side, even if it might be the last time. He wants so much more, and it’s so sad because he thinks he can’t have it even though he is so so wrong. orz
