Hi! Sorry idk if this is a weird question, but do you ever wish you could ‘retcon’ things? Like you’ll look at something that’s been published in canon and go ‘oh, I don’t like this story beat’ as much?

Yeah, sometimes! But I think that's just a natural part of story writing, you'll always look back and think "I could've done this better".

But also, I think it provides a fun challenge too! Like, how do I continue to make this work under the current circumstances? Maybe it could even make things more interesting by trying to work with it rather than against it!

I also think it's important to remember too that retconning isn't a crime. Like if you'd feel much happier retconning something, than do it! It's fine! Maybe some people will complain but no one's gonna come arrest you for it.

I retconned my characters having belly buttons. They used to have belly buttons, but now they don't anymore! And sometimes in my old art you can see belly buttons there! Oh well! what you gonna do!
