I made this for the kinzcord server food contest and won third place, so pretty cool! I got a dispenser from it.

I stumbled across this cutie while garage sale-ing today. I usually don’t pick up plush in this bad of shape, but I felt really bad for her. She had a bunch of stains, dryer burn, and bits of tape on her. It was obvious that she was someone’s favorite friend at some point in her life. I didn’t want to just leave her because I really doubt anyone else would have bought her.

First thing I did was soak her in warm water and a bit of dawn. Her fur was really damaged and greasy, with spots clumped together with what felt like glue?? It was really unpleasant to touch so I wanted to try and loosen those patches up and let those stains soak out.

This is her after soaking for two hours! So much brighter already. Most of the stains came out after some scrubbing. I put her into the washer after for one last bath, let her dry on my box fan completely, then begin the work of brushing out her.

And voila! This is her after quite a bit of brushing and picking. I had to use my very tighter, very rough wire brush to even hope of fully dislodging her mats, which meant there was quite a bit of hair loss. Her neck is still the roughest part about her, still very icky to touch. I think I may stitch her up a scarf to help with that. I think I did the best I could for this pretty kitty, who I have dubbed Whimsey for the time being.

I found a Webkinz love puppy for $1 at Goodwill!!! He had a weird yellow stain on his face, smelled like cigarettes, and had a loose eyebrow thread so I knew this little dude was going to need some work.

Here he is as I found him:

I decided to open him up to take all the old, smelly stuffing out and reaffix his thread. Floppy blob puppy:

It's bathtime! I used woolite and some laundry sanitizer to gently wash him:

I air dried him and fluffed him up with a hair dryer on the lowest setting.

Finally, I used a little pair of scissors to clip back some excess fur that was covering his eyes and eyebrows. All done!

I give all my Webkinz a unique necklace so I followed this pattern tutorial to make this heart embroidered bracelet.
