When people make rude remarks about homeless people, even if they are trying to do it jokingly, I can never look at them the same. I want nothing to do with them.
I was homeless for only three months and it was the hardest time of my life. I cannot imagine how these people that have been homeless for years can make it through life. That requires some special kind of strength inside of them, and that alone makes me respect them 100x more than i respect any other stranger.
