We don't get a lot of shots where it's clear how big Moya is in relation to something else, so I thought I'd post these shots of Moya underneath (from our perspective) the revered Peacekeeper Command Carrier Zelbinion. Even though it's been missing in action for over a hundred years, D'Argo says that "it is the most feared ship in the Peacekeeper armada," not that it was. Aeryn also knows the layout from her years on board Command Carriers, and she doesn't mention it being significantly larger or smaller than modern ones.

All of which makes me think that the Zelbinion and Crais's plan are probably of roughly similar size, and that Moya could, if circumstances required, hold a heck of a lot more people than we actually see. She's almost as tall and maybe as broad as a Command Carrier's central line. Yes, she's also a lot shorter (considering wider shots CCs), but, as Aeryn states out in season 3, there are 50,000 people aboard Scorpius's Carrier.

Of course, Moya doesn't have to just hold people; she has to re-build herself in order to provide them with air, gravity, lights, toilets, faucets, and even refrigeration units. I assume that she couldn't sustain as many people-per-cubic-foot as a purely mechanical ship. But what would constitute maximum long-term occupancy here? Do Leviathans normally carry just a dozen or so travelers, or would she be able to host a whole town?

rip bialar crais he was in many ways the worst to ever do it. second-rate villain, redemption arc that no one really believed right til the end. dad who stepped up to the experimental living weapon it turned out he created in the first place. maybe one person in the entire galaxy could tolerate him and he accidentally killed her mum in front of her. nothing ever went right for him and he didnt even get a funeral when he died in a blaze of glory. im gonna miss him so much

However I do NOT remember this Dr. ‘NamTar’ and their medical bdsm fit from episode 9. I also had to draw them because damn. Get this guy on an industrial band set.

When Aeryn is getting interrogated and she talks about the former lover who she got executed, and she says she’s not a very nice person. Everything about that moment is so incredible. She is weaponizing her past self to fight for her child. Her mother killed her father so that she might live. Aeryn killed her lover, partly as a reaction to her brainwashing, as pushback at the part of herself who wanted to flee with him, but also so she could get back into the sky. She’s a pilot. And now she’s fighting for her own life and her child’s, scrambling for just a little bit more time, and the only weapon she has to wield is herself. Her own harshness and ruthlessness and dark past. That is the shield she throws up to protect herself and her child.
