-thereâs The Big One: both Wednesday and Gomez would be dead were it not for Enid and Morticia. Garrett would have killed Gomez had Morticia not ran him through and Tyler would have gutted Wednesday where she stood had Enid not drop-kicked his ass
-then there's the fact they've both committed violence to protect the ones they love and 100% do not regret any of itâ despite Enid being portrayed as extremely squeamish
-theyâre both cunning as hell and they know how to "play their part" to their advantage. Enid can say what would Wednesday do as much as she wants, but at the end of the day the shit she pulled during the Poe Cup was 100% Enidâthereâs also, you know,
the way Enid managed to pull one over on Wednesday? she played the part of the "airhead roommate" (yeah you can't convince me that "ew, what died?" when she walked into a crypt wasn't calculated), so Wens would underestimate her. And while we havenât seen enough of Morticia to judge she always gives off the vibe that she not only knows more than she lets on, she will 100% use it (honestly a lot of Tish's characterization has the benefit of other iterations of her you can use to fill in some blanks). She at the very least seemed to have a contingency plan for every possible thing Wednesday could have tried to get away from Nevermore
-theyâre both actually really good at reading people, itâs tied to the above point
-Enid's well-liked enough to not only have friends in multiple different cliques but sheâs also on good terms with enough people to be privy to all kinds of gossip, human or supernaturalâ and judging from what little Weems said, Morticia seemed to be popular way back when too. Though idk if Enid is the school darling to the extent Morticia seems to have been cause the closest we get to the whole school interacting with Enid is, well,
-my absolute favorite parallel tho is how Enid's got Wednesday wrapped around her little finger just like Morticiaâs got Gomez. Enid is the only one who can get Wednesday to do anything, from apologizing to Thing to putting her murder board somewhere elseâshe didnât even have to ask, it made her uncomfortable and Wednesday just, like, moved itâto wrangle genuine compliments out of her. as a bonus Wednesday goes full My Girl Is Mad At Me I Hope I Die after their fight, which is very Gomez of her
-Enid can't stand staying away from Wednesday. In fact, she can stand it so little she doesn't even wait for Weds to apologize, she just comes back

And while you could argue this is some Gomez-ass behavior, i think Morticia and Gomez are just as bad as each other on this

Pre-Wenclair, Season 2. Enid is at a table in the Quad, where she is defending her boyfriendâs atrocious behavior to Bianca and Eugene.
Bianca: Seriously Enid, you need to ditch Maxim. That was your dress and it was definitely not âtoo revealing.â
Eugene: Iâm with B. I canât believe he tore it up like that! Enid, he made you cry.
Enid: Guys, I know that what he did totally sucked, but really, his heart was in the right place.
Wednesday: It wasnât then, and it isnât now.
Wednesdayâs abrupt appearance startles the group, who collectively stare as the raven sits next to Enid.
Enid: E-Excuse me?
Wednesday: Your foul âboyfriendâsâ heart, and your unverifiable claims as to the location of it.
Enid: *sighs* Willa, I know you really donât like Maximâ
Wednesday: Understatement.
Enid: â but heâs my boyfriend. You canât justâ
Wednesday: *holds up hand* One moment.

Wednesday turns and casually lobs a soggy bag into the nearest trash bin. It lands with a noisy squelch.
Wednesday: There. *produces a black handkerchief* Now repeat your earlier statement.
Enid: What? Um, I know you really donât likeâ
Wednesday: Not that one. *starts wiping hands* From before I sat down.
Enid: Uh. His heart was in the right place?
Wednesday: Is.
Enid: Is?
Wednesday: *puts handkerchief away* Your statement is now both current and verifiable.
Enid: I donât get it.
Wednesday gets up to leave. She nods farewell to Bianca and Eugene before fixing Enid with a particularly intense look that is uncharacteristically charged with emotion.
Wednesday: You will.
Enid, her expression a mix of longing and frustration, watches as Wednesday walks away.
Enid: His heart is in the right place? I donâtâ
Enid: *looks to her friends* What do you guys think she meant by that?
The two other occupants of the table manage to tear their horrified gazes from the nearest trash bin to stare pale-faced at Enid.

Enid Sinclair doesnât think she deserves love. She has been belittled by her mother, ignored by her brothers and neglected by her father. People who are supposed to love her have shown her time and time again that they donât.

So itâs no surprise that she could end up in an abusive relationship. Enid is so desperate for someone to show her love that she doesnât care how she gets it.
Now imagine this, Enid, the one who thinks she is unlovable, learns what true love feels like from someone who thought they could never love someone.
Wednesday is THE perfect person for Enid, whether it be romantic (please please please) or not. Wednesday cares, and Enid somewhat knows that. I hope in season two as they explore the relationship between Wednesday and Enid, we get to see Wednesday show Enid more care knowing that Enid needs to know that someone is on her side.

Excuse me, but consider this: Enid doesn't like her scars, because they get more attention than she ever did. It's the first thing her mother notices, and she almost cries of joy because she didn't believe it when they told her she'd finally turned. Enid catches her mom looking proudly at her scars from time to time, which is more attention than she ever gave her before. "Let me get a good look at you" she says, turning Enid's head to the side, tracing the scars. Enid wants to run away. Her mom doesn't say "I'm glad you're okay" she doesn't ask if it hurt. She says "finally" because Enid almost dying is less important than her wolfing out.
Enid starts wearing her hair in a way that hides them as much as possible. Until one day Wednesday asks her about it, "do you regret how you got your scars?" and Enid's words get stuck in her throat. And Wednesday, carefully tracing the area on Enid's cheek so she doesn't touch still healing wounds, tells her that they're just a visual representation of her choices. A part of her now, sure, but they're more like a footnote, an added detail to the intricacy of her. And when Wednesday looks at them she remembers how she saved her life that day.
"If you regret saving me, that's okay, but I can't bear to see you hiding yourself like this"
And Enid stops her then, because she would never regret what she did that day.
"It's just... it feels like my scars are the only thing mum loves about me"
And Wednesday says her mom's a fool, because "What's not to love about you?"
