Update!

Hi everyone! I know it’s been a while since you’ve heard anything from us and we’re sorry for the radio silence, we wanted to pop in to give you a quick update

We went on an unofficial hiatus due to other personal projects and general life stuff, but this is something we are all still very passionate about and are planning to continue

we have season one (roughly) plotted out, along with the first two episodes! We will be working more on getting a decent skeleton for the world set up and once the first season starts “airing” we will be opening the world up for everyone!

A quick explanation for how we’re hoping Avylon to work:

This blog will be mainly for the core story of Avylon, here we will be posting the episodes, information, answering questions, etc (and occasionally reblogging things) All under a tag for the primary story

We will be posting a community tag as well that we encourage people to use when posting their own Avylon content so that we will be able to see it and everyone can keep track of the amazing content for this brand new community we will be creating!

People have been asking about “submitting” ocs and we wanted to clear up that your ocs are your own! We want you to create amazing content and have fun exploring the world with your characters As the story of Avylon unfolds you will have more “canon” content to base your ocs and stories in and fun new scenarios and locations as well!

As for being part of the main story, be sure to keep your content properly tagged so that we can see it all! And you may just get a message asking if a location or character you created could be worked into part of the story

Is anyone allowed to join/make a pirate OC?

Hello! We’ve asked people if there could be a pause on posting oc’s since the world was literally created like…two days ago and has almost no development

We are working to build the world so people have a firm base and guide to follow when creating ocs!

We are also working to create our story that this world was created for, that will be the main focus of this blog!

Having said all that, yes, anyone can create an oc for Avylon, just know that at the moment we ask that you hold off on posting them until we can get things sorted!

A Quick Disclaimer

We are so excited and so pumped to see everyone’s enthusiasm for Avylon, honestly your support and love for this world already has blown us away

This started out as a fun new idea between a couple friends and suddenly we are creating an entire world and an epic adventure to go along with it and we can’t express how giddy we are to share it all with you

If we had ANY idea that this would become so popular (let alone so quickly!) we would have waited to post anything until we already had the world and the story established as to stave off any confusion and to maybe save some hurt feelings over it

We hope everyone understands why we’ve asked for a hold on posting ocs, we want everyone to come and play in this amusement park but we have to build the rides first! So please be patient with us as we work toward creating something amazing <3

Eliza Bernard

Born into a common family, Eliza rose from the dregs of society through association with a commodor.

But now, his intent is to marry her. And she has learned that he is not the just man he swore to be.

He has vowed to keep her locked in his home until she agrees to meet his gruesome demands.

Her only way out is to leave. Her family do not want her, and she does not want the commodor.

With the help of the scullery maid, she escapes, changing her appearance so as not to be recognised by the commodor’s men. 

She haggles passage on a ship in the harbour and leaves. Now all she can do is wait for the ship to make sail.

Shouts on the harbour in a voice she recognises all too well make her blood run cold, but soon enough the ship has set sail and she can breathe a sigh of relief.

That is, until the door opens and she is discovered.

Mary “Bubbles” Jukes

- Her father, a sailor in the navy would take his little daughter out to sea, and taugh her all the skills she needed to keep their skiff afloat.

- Her mother died of an Infection when Mary was 11.

- Her father, serving far away from their home, sent Mary to live with his sister, her aunt.

- Aunt Kathy soon realized that Mary could cook. Mary was leased out to be kitchen helper and cook to all manner of folks. She didn’t live with her aunt that much, instead having a variety of temporary positions.

- Around nine months into her new “kitchen maid for hire” position, she received a letter from the Navy saying that her father’s ship had gone missing and the whole crew was assumed dead.

- Mary saw the Starry Maiden docked in the harbor one fateful day.

- Fed up with her life, having no reason to stay, Mary ran away to be their cook and never looked back.

- Cooks, cleans up after meals (with help), rations, purser for all things food, makes sure no one gets scurvy, fights to the bone against the one going scourge of rats.

- “Measuring Gun-Powder is just the same as measuring flour”

- “Wringing the neck of a person is just the same as wringing the neck of a chicken”

- “Chopping fingers is just the same as chopping pork”

i was absolutely dying to get involved in the tumblr cosplay rp community but i mostly do ocs and LEMME TELL YOU i am so hecking excited to join the pirate crew, thank you for creating such a wonderful world !!!!

I’m not even sure how this happened, one minute I was telling @meganhufflepuffrp to do a pirate oc and the next thing I know an entirely new world has been created that people can expand on and explore and it’s amazing

Will you be able to create sections on your tumblr eg locations, royal families etc (I don’t know whether this is possible?) so that people don’t end up mixing stuff up. I wouldn’t want to accidentally mess up a pre-existing detail!

I’m not very tech savvy but I think we should be able to create pages for all the basic info on each location/main points

(I’m working on a FAQ/About page now!)

and then of course everything will be tagged so if you wanted to explore a character/location you can click the tag!
