No Worries || Marko & Taylor
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Marko normally wasnāt one to go out and about by himself in a big city like London, mainly because he was a bit of an introvert, but with the guys being busy back at the studio recording and finalizing their parts for the upcoming CD and Lily being out with Angie, he figured that he would try to find something to do. He wasnāt much of a sports fanatic, but he did watch some sports such as football and hockey on the television from time to time when he got the chance and especially if it was Finland that was playing and it just so happened that today of all days, Finlandās hockey team was playing an away game there in London and he wanted to catch it live. In a strange kind of way he knew that it would make him feel as though he were at home again with his team being right there in the rink in front of him.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā His attention was suddenly drawn away from the crowds who were chanting something that he couldnāt really understand from across the ice, by a tanned skinned younger man with an accent that told him that he wasnāt from England. āUmmā¦ā Marko quickly glanced down at his watch and then back up to the younger man.Ā āIt looks like you arrived here just in time. They should be startinā in five to ten minutes.ā Marko adjusted the scarf that he had around his neck, loosening it a bit as it was starting to warm up inside of the building.Ā āYouāre from America, right?ā he observed as his eyes went back to the ice for a moment, knowing that his accent had to be equally as noticeable to the other. It was a bad attempt at making a conversation on his behalf, but he wanted to try at least. He seemed like he was a nice guy, perhaps a little on the quite side himself and it would be cool to make more friends in London too.
āOkay, good -- thank you.ā Relieved to hear that he hadnāt missed anything, Taylor offered the man a smile, picking up on the sound of his voice as soon as he spoke with curiosity. It wasnāt an English accent, he wasnāt sure what it was, he couldnāt quite put his finger on it but he didnāt want to ask, he didnāt know the man, didnāt even know his name and heĀ didnāt want to be rude. Settling into his seat, he glanced out to the rink to figure out what people were chanting before he spoke again, a question this time and he looked back at him with a small laugh.Ā āI am. Is it that noticeable?ā Of course it was noticeable, he couldnāt fake a very good English accent even if he tried.Ā āIām not cool enough to be from around here,ā he joked. Heād spent quite a bit of time in the country, especially for work, and he loved it, but it didnāt feel like home either. He didnāt think that he could ever stay there permanently -- but things changed and he didnāt know how he would feel six months from now.
āYouāre not from around here either, are you?ā He asked, figuring it was fair enough then, it didnāt feel like he was crossing a line since Marko had already asked about his whereabouts.Ā āNot that you arenāt cool enough to be-- I donāt mean that,ā he added quickly, realizing how his words could have been taken. He moved his legs to let someone by, nodding in their direction as they passed and he couldnāt help but wonder if any pictures would end up making their way to the internet. They always seemed to, no matter where he was or how discreet he was being. Eventually, he stopped caring, or trying to avoid them.Ā āIām Taylor, by the way. I guess I should probably introduce myself.ā
Iām so bad at that game! Iām SWEATING right now.

āMaybe we should leave.ā Three shots ago, hushed words from a friend. Worry was laced into the sentence, her smile a failed attempt at innocence. āItās getting late.ā
āJust one more.ā This was the fifth time heād said that.Ā āJust one more.ā
11:22 PM, 01/08/2017.
āHow much have you had to drink?ā
āNot much.ā The way his words slurred was answer enough, the look in his motherās eyes told him that she didnāt believe him, but he insisted. He lied.Ā āReally.ā
3:57 AM, 01/25/2017.
The light of the streetlamps was the only thing that stopped him from stumbling over his own feet, his vision blurred and disoriented. All of his friends had left the bar hours ago. He was just going to stay for one more drink.
Inserting his key, opening the backdoor in a sloppy manner, he collapsed in the seat, barely pulling the door shut behind him. He couldnāt drive. He would just rest there until he sobered up.
9:19 AM, 01/25/1017.
He woke to the sun on his face, a horrible headache.
Heād fallen asleep in the barās parking lot three minutes before closing time.

āIt was a celebration. The whole cast had some drinks.ā
They sipped champagne; one glass.
11:45 PM, 2/06/2017.
āCan I crash at your place?ā Drink.Ā āI canāt drive.ā Drink.Ā āItāll be too late.ā Drink. āMy momāll kill me.ā Drink. Drink. Drink.
5:49 PM, 2/07/2017.
The disappointment in his fatherās eyes was something he would neverĀ be able to forget.
8:11 PM, 2/08/2017.
āAgain?ā Narrowed eyes. His publicist was calling a cab.Ā āTaylor...ā Words, muffled words that he couldnāt understand, pupils drawn to the man across the street.Ā āYouāve got to straighten up.ā Cameras flashing. This would make the headlines.Ā āItās eightāoāclock and youāre wasted.ā He knew that. She didnāt have to tell him. She didnāt have to make it sound like such a terrible thing.Ā āThis is a bad habit. This is bad reputation. You donāt want that.ā
She had no idea what he wanted.

Another hangover.
Another shot of alcohol to fix it.
He had a problem.
