“you have quite the collection there. let me guess, forgot to go?” ainsley surmised, though the answer was right in front of her. anyone who planned ahead would never be traipsing through town with a tower of precariously balanced presents. it might have been cheating but ainsley had gotten her family gift cards, it was the easiest so they could all get what they really wanted plus, she didn’t have to cart them around in transport back home. with a nod and a smile, she could picture him doing just that for the rest of the day - it didn’t seem like a bad way to spend time. “good choice. you know, i used to wrap presents for hours when i still lived at home.” a little white lie as she hadn’t stopped doing that. wrapping presents was like some weird therapy for ainsley. she loved taking the time to make each corner perfectly pressed and each ribbon flawlessly curled. “certainly looks like all the shopping was done.” she teased with a small laugh, sipping on her coffee. “so are you an actual wrapping kind of guy or a bag with tissue paper?”
"WOHHHH WOH WOH,” wesley spoke, his eyes widened in mock horror and offence. “who do you think i am? you think that i decided to wait until last minute to get my adorably adoring family presents? of course not.” he shook his head as he balanced his parcels, somewhat forgetting how he had opened the conversation had given him away. wesley rarely made sense, he was a combination of things all piled into one man and it didn’t translate well into reality. “wrapping, obviously. let’s not cheap out, gotta get the corners taped down. tape round the entire parcel, then ribbons, whatever those little twisty not bow things are and wallah, a christmas perfection.”
