Letter to my future self.

Dear future Wes,

I don’t know when this will be opened, but hopefully in a long time. I don’t really know what to write, I never really planned for the future. The only time I think about what I want to do, I see Nina by me, and our kids too. I hope we can have more than one, but I know that it might be hard with her family history, and that’s okay because if we have one I’ll be more than happy, and even if we can’t I’ll still love her no matter what. I hope you two are keeping your promises to one another, like never going to sleep angry and never sleeping in separate beds. I hope that, in a few years, you renewed your vows in a ceremony that was Extra as hell and exactly what she’s always dreamed of. I hope that dad is still in jail and mom hasn’t been to see him. I hope that things are good, honestly. I just hope that you’re happy, because at 23 you’re finally getting happy, and it’s a nice feeling.

Good luck with your kids, they’ll be a handful if they’re anything like you or their mom. Good luck with your friends, I hope you have some more by the time you’re reading this. Good luck at Rocky’s wedding, I hope you were a good best man, the kind he deserves. Good luck in everything, because you’ll need it. Life is hard, but you’ve made at this far.
