Alessandra sighed, and fiddled with her glasses again as she walked towards her and her mentorâs abode. She was slightly more than nervous, mainly because she needed to ask her mentor a very, odd question, if you will consider it that. Sheâd heard a meeting was going to happen that day, but it was to be considered more of a⊠ball of sorts. But with blood mages.
Totally not terrifying, right? Right. She opened the door, and hoped her mentor wasnât out, or doing anything incredibly bloody at the moment.
Luckily Terrance was in, and not doing anything ridiculously bloody- though that wasn't to say there was no blood involved. It looked as if they had just finished some experiments in the basement, and were wiping the stray blood off of their hands and shoes- at least none of it had managed to stain their white socks this time.
The Enderother looked up as their apprentice approached, letting out a short burst of static as acknowledgement of her presence. Usually she was out practicing at this hour, so she probably needed help with something. Not that Terrance minded- that was what mentors did, after all.
Could I borrow a cup of blood?
((closed RP starter with westerncirclestatic))
"Hey Terrence!" Came a voice from outside the cave following a loud knock. When Terrence opened the door, who would they see but Juniper standing there, smiling up at them. "Heya neighbour!" She replied. "Zaki and I were doing some stuff, but we realized we were fresh out of blood! So, could you spare us a cup or so? I promise weâll pay you back eventually!" Juniper hoped that Terrence would fall for this, as she hadnât left a very good impression the last time she had seen them, and she hoped that she could possibly try to be friends with them. And maybe play another prank. Maybe.
A familiar, annoying voice was disrupting Terrance's work, though at the moment that work was simply shoving a dead endermen down the basement hatch to feed the shark blood battery that lived within. They quickly finished their work, letting the stray blood slide off of their hand and float alongside them as they made their way to the door to open it. What was the person yelling about anyways? Borrowing blood?
Ah. Juniper had been the one knocking.
The door was quickly slammed shut again. It appeared that Terrance still remembered the demon and dead goat incident that had been their first meeting, and had yet to get over that terrible impression. Despite both of them being tine royalty, Terrance was not inclined to make an attempt to get along with her. She'd have to work hard to change his mind.

"No, theyâre not same." Ondine agreed. "But itâs all still energy, with blood acting as a substrate."
She was still having a hard time gauging the mental capacity of her creations. They displayed loyalty to her, but emotional attachment was hard to measure; they could carry out orders, but didnât have much problem-solving abilities of their own. Her synthetic souls did the job, but lacked the life and color of an organic life force. So far, anyway.
"Iâve never had a lab partner before, but certainly wouldnât mind the company." She said.
Having a fresh pair of eyes would no doubt prove beneficial, as well as another personâs experiences to draw from.
A lab partner, eh? Could be interesting, Terrance thought. Perhaps they could collaborate on a few of Terrance's own experiments as well, if it turned out that they could work together efficiently. It would be useful to have an ally around that wasn't focused on irritating them at all hours of the day, or wasting their time. Perhaps they'd find out a little bit more about souls in the process.
'It would be interesting to see what sort of souls could be attached with weaponized blood,' they wrote, brainstorming. Icy blood, venomous blood- would it affect the souls or the personalities of the creatures if the blood was not normal, or not minecraftian? Terrance was curious.

While Terrance was questions Auriâs nature, he had found two much of the flowers. Luckily to Auri they were close together so he could easily get them. He headed back to Terrance quickly as the pain from them began to get a little to much for him with two in this hands, let alone one. âHey I found a couple more!â He headed them over to the enderother and patted his hands on his sides to see if it stopped the stinging sensation.
As he looked up at them, he noticed the blush on their cheeks, Aurion tilted his head a little out of the curiosity âHey Terrance, youâre a little purple in the cheeks there⊠are you alright?â He step forward so he was a little closer to get a more clearer view of their face.Â
Terrance hadn't even noticed Aurion getting closer, being wrapped up in their own thoughts. When they snapped out of it, Aurion was standing uncomfortably close to them, examining their face (and flush). That flush only got deeper as Terrance teleported back about a foot with a startled static burst. What was he doing, getting so close anyways?
At least Terrance had decided that Aurion was not a threat- it seemed to them that Easterner's were just unnaturally friendly. How the circle as a whole had managed to survive at all was a mystery to Terrance, and perhaps one worth investigating at some point. Aurion especially seemed to be friendly and helpful, even to members of enemy circles (namely Terrance!). What was up with that?
Alessandra immediately looked up when Terrance appeared in the room. Mustâve been taking her too long for them, then. She nodded at Terrance, turning back the tiny kettle in the middle of the room she was using to make the potion. âYeah yeah, âm almost done.â She let a small happy chirp as the bubbling liquid in the kettle turned the right color, as well as the health potion in the brewing stand in the corner.
She poured the brew into a glass bottle, before turning to the brewing stand and grabbing the health potion from itâs place. She turned to Terrance, holding out the pink potion to them. âHere! This is ah, why I was takinâ forever to get done. Itâll progressively help you get better, I think.â A sheepish look appears on her face, but a grin graced her lips.
Terrance eyed the pink potion with what they deemed to be a healthy level of suspicion. It LOOKED like a properly brewed health potion, but it wasn't as if they'd asked their apprentice if she was any good at making potions or what experience she had with herbs. It would probably only poison them at the worst, and at best it would get rid of this awful cold.. Yeah, it was a risk they were willing to take.
Alessandra probably knew what she was doing. It was a testament to the trust that Terrance had in her that they took the potion and sipped at it in front of her, instead of waiting to run tests on it in private. Not that Terrance would admit to that, or anything. Gotta keep up those stern mentor appearances, even when dribbling ink from their nose and mouth.
The boy who caught falling stars
(like i said back from my vacation to hp world!! here is a tiny hp terry to celebrate!
ill get back around to my replies soon!)
(finally settled in and back from vacation!)
Alessandra looked surprised for a moment, before a smile crept up onto her face. âThanks, sicky. Iâll be back when itâs done, and then weâll see what it does! Just ah, hope my hair doesnât match your hair color once things happen.â She shrugs, before hopping up and speeding out of the room.
After rummaging around for a good ten minutes, she found the ingredients she needed, as well as a few from her bag, and began the process of making of the potion she needed, as well propping up a brewing stand to make a potion of health to help speed up Terrance getting well. She didnât want to continue dealing with Grump Master Terrance for any longer then it was necessary.Â
Terrance continued to mope in their bed, snuffling and sneezing and generally being a gross inky mess. The hair brewing potion was taking longer than it needed to in Terrance's opinion, so they ended up ambling out of bed and to the storage room themselves to check on her. They didn't really care that they were dripping ink all over the floor- they were sick, they'd deal with it later.
They probably made a pretty pitiful sight, nose all irritated and purple, with a thick blanket draped over their shoulders to keep them warm. At least they'd come to check on Alessandra, it showed that Terrance cared, even when they were ill. 'almost done?' they asked, coughing a little.

The manipulation bit was clear enough, but weaponization? How lucrative. Terranceâs blood was clearly of a unique property, but if it could all be manipulated in the same manner⊠Perhaps what made blood powerful was its role, with its chemical makeup being of little importance. Another area to study.
"The gods have always shaped my magic," She said thoughtfully. "but yes, I suppose I do."
It was the exact sort of âderanged and unseemlyâ practice that made the  Knowledge Tine have such a poor opinion of the Divinity crew, but Ondine figured that those of Chaos wouldnât be so irritable.
"Blood is really a fantastic catalyst. Itâll carry viruses, spells, life essence- you can smuggle anything through blood." Ondine said. "Some call it Necromancy, but itâs really not. I donât summon the spirits of the dead. I merely synthesize imitations of soul essence, and with blood as the carrier, transfuse it into a receptacle. Itâs not even that impressive; mortals frame new souls all the time when they procreate."
Blood really WAS a fantastic catalyst, which is what made it great for someone like Terrance who specialized in weaponization. They could infect blood with spells- good or bad, boil it, freeze it, spread viruses through it. The possibilities were pretty limitless, and that was without even adding manipulation into the mix and simply working with the blood in it's natural state. It had taken a lot of work to get so far in their field, naturally, but it had been well worth it.
Framing souls however, that was equally impressive. The creation of souls and how they worked was very... Fuzzy, for Terrance. Being created in the End, they weren't even sure where they stood on the spectrum for souls- were they a soul, or bits of one stuck together? They assumed they were born the same way Enderdragons were, though they tended to be a little more soul than dragon.
An interesting field of study, to be sure. 'mortal souls are not the same,' Terrance said dismissively- and they didn't think that artificial souls and mortal ones WERE the same, though it was likely they served the same sort of purpose. Unless Ondine got her hands on a soul, then it's purpose would likely take a much darker turn.
'we would like to see you at work sometime.' Maybe if they brought in a live enderman at some point? It would be interesting, to have a research colleague about. It wasn't as if Terrance had any qualms about the divinity tine's work, unlike the Knowledge tine.

Going on his tip toes, Aurion carefully moved his arms up to place the flower crown on Terranceâs head. He shifted it around so it fitted perfectly on the enderotherâs head, though he had to move his face a little close and up to theirs to get it right, he eventually finished and went back to being flat footed. âGoodness, the flowercrown looks wonderful on you friend~!âÂ
Though the flowers were a bit random and bright, Auri was proud of his flower crown making work and smiled happily to himself as he looked up at Terrance. âthough itâs not the same flower, it looks cute~â It was more of a mumble or thinking out loud moment for himself but he didnât mind if Terrance overheard it. He looked down at the flowers they had pick, taking a little step back to give Terrance his personal space back. âahh awesome you got more~ I think I felt some more over this way tooâ He turned to the direction he wanted to go before trotting along which a little bounce to his step.
Suddenly, their head was covered in flowers. A crown of flowers, to be specific. Terrance let out a little burst of static as they poked at the crown, unsure of just why Aurion had decided to make it and gift it to them. What they could see of the flowers proved they were bright, and Terrance DID like bright colors.. Okay, maybe THIS ONCE it was alright to accept something from an Easterner.
They flushed at the sudden compliment from Aurion, letting out yet another static sound. Cute? Easterners were not supposed to go around calling Westerners cute!! Especially NOT Terrance! Ridiculous! Just what did Aurion think he was doing? They were going to ask Aurion what he was playing at, only to watch him skip away to get more flowers. Was this some sort of play, or was Aurion just naturally nice? What was WRONG with these trusting, smiley Easterners?
quiet me for the drabble requests (godspeed calming and angry terry)
By the Goddess, Terrance was going off, and their raging whirlwind had to be quelled before someone got hurt. Namely, anyone within the vicinity that wasnât her or the bloody shark downstairs, but mostly Terrance. A raging Ender Other was not at the top of her list of things to get slain by, especially her mentor of all people.
So, she quickly, and as quietly as she could, crept behind them and threw her arms around them. âHey, hey, friend, Terry- Terrance. Calm down, okay? Please?â Her voice was muffled against the otherâs back, her voice trying to be calm, but her overwhelming sense of panic was slightly overwhelming that.
Then she wasnât hugging Terrance anymore and there was a hand around her throat and nails digging into her neck. She choked, fingers curling around their hand. âTERRANCE. ITâS M-ME. ITâS ME AND YOU CAN P-PUT ME DOWN. I SWEAR ON MY LIFE AND MY GRAVE YOU CAN TRUST ME ON T-THAT.â She coughed, choking and stuttering on her words. Goddess, they were going to kill her on accident or something and then- and then what? What would they do?
Keep going?
She hoped so, but then she saw the rage calming down somewhat, Terrance returning to being the grumpy, unused-to-affection, with their odd, neon sense of fashion.
She dropped to the ground, coughing, small trickles of blood running down her neck. Â Oh joy, more things to become scars. She looked up as Terrance knelt down, in front of her, the otherâs face purple-flushed and a look of being apologetic and embarrassed written all over. Blood swirled into letters, forming a shaky apology.
She just shakes her head and hugs them, shaking slightly.
Terrance complained too much. Simon assumed thatâs what they were doing, at least, because the static-y rumbles the Enderother was producing werenât exactly the easiest thing to understand. They figured complaining was something Terrance would probably do, though, and huffed gently against the fabric of their shirt. The other mage cared too much about things. Simon themselves could admit they did as well, but they were certainly less tightly-strung when they were tired, and half asleep. They wondered, briefly, just how Terrance always seemed to end up with Simon when they were at their least lucid.
To be quite frank, Simon had actually been having a pretty nice nap. That Terrance had interrupted it wasnât the worst thing that couldâve happened, sure, but it was still pretty high up on Simonâs list of âIrritating Things That Could Potentially Occurâ. They would have told Terrance this, if they idea of falling asleep again didnât seem far more appealing that complaining. They doubted theyâd be coherent enough to give a proper argument at this point anyway.
What really needed to happen, Simon decided, was Terrance either had to go away and stop being ridiculous, or to get used to the whole physical contact thing. Because seriously, this couldnât keep happening. They werenât prepared to put up with Terrance running away all the time just because Simon was feeling particularly tactile. It was rude, if nothing else.
They could appreciate the fact that Terrance was filling the silence, though. While it was bearable when they were asleep more often that not theyâd wake up to a noiseless room. They werenât a big fan of it, really. Terranceâs static buzzing was, yeah, kind of weird, but it was a sound, and it was pretty constant, and while half-asleep it was actually rather soothing to listen to. At least as far as static noises could be soothing.
Simon mumbled something under their breath that could just about be made out as an order for Terrance to âstop freaking out and just lie downâ, apparently having decided that Terrance was not to leave, and would actually just have to put up with Simon using them as some kind of personal heater. As though the duvet cover wasnât making them warm enough already. Simon, as usual, didnât think on that fact for too long, instead choosing to burrow further into Terranceâs side, humming slightly themselves. They should be grateful Simon wasnât using their claws to keep them in place.
Any hope of escape vanished when Simon decided that Terrance was going to stay and be their personal space heater, wrapping themselves more tightly around Terrance and telling them to lie down. It took them a moment to process the order, considering that their thoughts got awfully jumbled when people touched them without warning (with warning, even, but they were not going to dwell on that just now). Lay down with Simon, presumably until they woke up again as any real attempt to escape would likely just end up waking and irritating Simon further than their intrusion had.
At least Simon was being mindful of their claws, Terrance could be grateful for that. Calming slightly as they started to get used to the constant contact, Terrance decided the best thing they could do in this situation was simply to listen to Simon and lie down. They had woken them up after all, so interrupting their sleep further would not be in the spirit of the deal they had made with Simon (this decision was in no way influenced by the fact that Terrance was unable to wriggle out of Simon's grasp or the fact that they had not tried very hard to do so).
Slowly they lowered themselves onto the duvet, having to shuffle Simon about so they didn't end up laying on top of one of their arms in the process. This essentially left Simon's head pressed against their chest instead of their back, and they certainly hoped that Simon was not familiar with the heart beats of ender beings because their was going too fast to be considered normal. It helped a little that Terrance had 'chosen' to stay in contact with Simon, but they were still quite flustered and the static humming was still a constant source of noise.
It was an unusual feeling to have someone else in the bed with them, not that Terrance used the bed very often. They didn't need to sleep at all, and usually avoided it in favor of working and trying to make breakthroughs with their magic and research. They could kind of see why Simon liked to sleep though- it was.. Comfortable, they supposed, with Simon warming up the bed and curled around them. As comfortable as physical contact got for Terrance that was. It was going to take some getting used to, being touched all the time. This was as good of a start as any, though.
(if you sent me an ask to trick or treat from terry don't worry! I did get them its just I will probably end up doodling or drawing little responses later!)
