Hi<3 Welcome to my asoiaf inspired simblr!

I've been playing a sort of asoiaf legacy challenge since like 2023 (had to restart in january 2024 because 4 rent corrupted my save...) and felt really inspired to document my progress here

I am following book canon, but changing some things as I see fit

you cannot:

upload my cc to other sites (such as SimsFinds)

claim my work as your own

convert my meshes for other games

make ai pictures with my sims!!

i know i've posted them so many times now but they're literally my faves from my legacy, like my alyssa sim really put in the work!

update kinda:

i've been wanting to post more on tumblr, i'm still here despite not being very active, but i'm just not feeling very inspired... i'm struggling to find the inspiration to make and finish cc and even opening the game feels like a chore rn. i haven't played my legacy save properly since november and don't know when i'll go back to it so i'm kinda just stuck in cas at the moment (but even that kind of bores me). so if there's anything you guys would like to see please let me know i'm open to suggestions (for content not cc!)

i know this feeling doesn't last forever, it's a very familiar cycle to me, i just hope it doesn't last much longer! but also life kinda gets in the way as well, like i'm halfway through my masters degree and kinda have a lot to do over the next year and i've been experiencing a lot of digital exhaustion as well. like i'm not very online anymore so that doesn't help much either... but i love this community and i don't have any plans to quit or anything! i just wanted to explain my "absence" <33

i have however, been reading a lot of books lately and recently came back from a rome trip, so i've been very inspired to make more content for @westerosisimhistorical!

i told myself i wouldnt dress my asoiaf sims past a certain time period but i sooo obsessed with rhaenyra and alicent in 1600s fashion! like the sleeves?? the collars??

i've been thinking about doing a faith of the seven inspired lookbook for a long time now -with veils, jewelry and "conservative" dresses etc (i actually really need my goats to release their amazing cc before i do, like their stuff is essential!! but alas...)

do you mean like if i upload my sims to the gallery? if so then yes i have done that before but i don't anymore and i have deleted all my post where i've shared them. i'm really sorry about that!

I hope you don’t mind me asking, but as someone who has been trying for so long to get the hang of creating hairstyles in blender for sims and feels very little success, how do you go about making hairs? As in, do you use the curves method and create each strand individually? How long on avg. do you usual spend just making a hair? Don’t know if I’m just getting discouraged too early in each attempt. Thanks lots!

hi<3 i'm so so sorry for taking so long to reply!!

i mostly frankenmesh hairs actually, i would really recommend checking out powluna and simlive (old blender alert!) on yt! i do have some hairs that are both frankenmesh and my own meshes like this, this and this one. but i've never actually made a hair completely from scratch because i feel like i lack the skills and its also quite time consuming... i always follow Alerii's toturial on yt when making my own hair meshes though, maybe there are better ways to do it but this way works for me.

as in how long it takes for me to make hairs it really depends, it doesn't take that long anymore because i've done it so many times, sometimes it takes only a day, sometimes it takes a few days...

for beginners i would recommend starting with frankenmeshing and then moving on to more complicated blender stuff once you got the basics down (do not do like me and make a marvelous designer dress with 1 million polygons that fries your laptop...)

and don't get discouraged! cc making takes time and effort but once you're able to make your own stuff there's no going back!
