I haven't always been great about tagging my friends on those because it used to just be my friends who followed this blog lol but I'll try to be better! Art Fight attacks will also go here with creators being properly credited.

This is my other OC sideblog, aviocs. This one is a bit more nebulous, and is meant to be almost used as an askblog? Like you can submit questions about or prompts for my OCs there and I'll draw a response (probably with some rambling text underneath).
This is my Baldurs Gate sideblog, murder-incarnate. I've got a BG3 OC that I talk about there on occasion, and art/writings for her usually go there. Also sometimes stuff about BG3 AU versions of my other OCs. !THERE ARE UNTAGGED SPOILERS HERE! If you've managed to avoid spoilers for this game so far and would like to continue to avoid them, don't go here!!

Just a heads up that my tagging system is ‘[word/name] tag’, for characters and universes and concepts etc. Almost everything! If you're looking for stuff about a character specifically, you're probably safe to just look for '#charactername tag'.

the perspective on adore fucking killed me here but this is FINE i guess. adore in general kind of gave me a hard time and i'm not THRILLED with how they turned out but it's fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiine
was thinking about pbjverse some this morning and decided to draw some of the supporting characters. slight tweaks to their original designs, some more significant than others, but mostly it's just translating old OCs into my current style + trying to vary up facial features more than i used to. also top right boy is getting a new name but that's for the tags not the picture lol
still thinking about this zenith doll and what if... i got a clear bag to carry him in for doll events and stuff..... not like a doll-specific bag because there aren't too many of those i like but a regular clear backpack. either the bag is tall enough for it to stand in or i pose it sitting. there's often front pockets to these so they'd be some obscuring happening but i'm imagining putting my zenith dnd dice in there. if i ever finish the nendo i could put it there too. stuff the 1/6 doll in the bigger section too, why not, just make it the Unwell About My OC bag lmao. i could also put some fabric in the back and bottom, black or purple or galaxy print.... the possibilities.........
i found a 1/4 scale head i like for zenith and yeah. yeah. this is happening.
so here's my plan:
The Bad World Researcher's 1/4 HeiZe head - the open-eyed one here. each head comes with three mouth pieces and one of them is the shark teeth pictured on the smiling-eyes one. it only comes in light skin tones so i'm planning on spraypainting or airbrushing it before doing the face-up.
Doll Family-A's Boy Body 2.0 (Big) - with the 3-part torso because i'm a slut for articulation. still a bit more muscular than i'd prefer but better than a lot of options while still feeling Adult enough for me vs the softer/younger proportions of a lot of 1/4 scale dolls. like it's either Muscles or Child in a lot of cases. but this one should work! would get it in light tan. i tried looking up pics of DF-A's resin colors but i'm still not super certain how good of a match it's gonna be. 'light tan' is often still REAL light for a lot of dolls. i'm THINKING it might be on the too-light side, but if i'm understanding it right the 'tanned (imported)' option uses a type of resin which has a tendency to yellow pretty bad. so i've got to hope that body blushing helps. or we might be fine before the blushing! i really can't tell with the pics i'm finding.
Doll Family-A's 1/4 MSD Jointed Hands - slut! for! articulation! short nail version, also in light tan.
Mohair wig by natrume - this'll be PERFECT. stuck between one of the light blondes, the ice blonde, or maybe the lily white. zenith has white hair but it's a warm kind of white. so deffo not the snow white, that's too pure white/cool white. MAYBE the beige? maybe i'd see if the seller would be willing to send comparison pics....
haven't decided on any clothes yet. time will tell....
edit: I FORGOT MY PLANS FOR THE EYES i might just try to make them myself! i want the Ultra Black irises with a slightly lighter black pupil. i'm not sure if i can get the irises looking more matte with the resin over top, they're not supposed to reflect light, but i'll do some research. if it can't be helped it can't be helped.
one of my planned dolls is a magali doll, and i've gotten some pieces for it but i'm considering pivoting. i was gonna go with a g3 draculaura body because 1) it's a cute body type and 2) it's a decent body type for her, but mmmmm idk. i wish monster high dolls had more articulation. i'm always a slut for articulation. i don't like that their feet are stuck in high-heel mode, and i'm just spoiled with bicep and thigh articulation on the mtm barbies and some action figures lol. they still have a good range of motion without the biceps and thighs! but i'm spoiled. i think another factor is that this is the only mh custom i've got planned for a specific OC - i'll be doing a twyla at some point but she's just meant to be twyla - so she's not gonna fit in super great with my other dolls which all have less stylized proportions. the bigger head would be fun to do a faceup on, but idk! i just love barbie heads so much, and like... barbie or worldbox proportions feel Better to me. it's just my personal preference. i like mh just fine but barbies and action figures are more my style.
part of me also kinda wants to do a bjd for her instead, like a 1/4 scale or something. i remember looking up bjds in high school wanting to make one for her but not having Adult Money. if i can find a body that's a decent fit - curvy and on the short side - i might go with that. though.... of course.... i can always do multiples........ she's my original fav oc she'd certainly deserve it
i finished backing up my original dA account so here's another one of these. i want to do more but magali deserves a post to herself. i've got stuff between ??? and 2005 but not on my dA, so.
the devil is telling me i should make multiple zenith dolls in various scales. like i'm working on the 1/6 scale with the barbie head and action figure body, but i HAD started the nendo size first. and as i'm looking at BJDs i'm thinking. well. what if i did a 1/4 scale too. what's stopping me aside from money which can be budgeted. cowardice? why should i let that hold me back. i can do anything in this world.
main problem is that it's critical for zenith dolls to be smiling, and so many BJD heads aren't smiling, especially the boy doll heads which i'd be using for them. i'm also a bit picky about the style overall, like i'm not interested in the ones that lean more anime-esque. ALSO the skin tone ranges aren't usually GREAT, but there are a good amount of bodies that have a 'tan' option that'd work for this kid. as long as the body is right i can paint the head to match. i don't plan on getting one that's already had a faceup, i'll do that myself.
and it's 75cm or 1/3 scale but i'm KINDA tempted to use the bite sp head that i super want and just turn that into zenith, because it's got an open-mouth smile and a shark teeth option. the only thing stopping me there is that i mostly want that doll to be its own thing without needing to feel restricted to a certain design. but the face is so GOOD for zenith lmao. though i also want the mini bite and that could be its own thing instead. i wish that one had shark teeth instead of just the fangs so i could use that one for zenith but it's fiiiiine
