“Nope, not moving.” He pulls his cape around himself to block out the sun. “Not until it goes away.” He would stick his tongue out at the other if his face weren’t covered with fabric.

“Alright.. Give me a minute.” Hibiki murmured as he went to every single window and shut the curtains close. Once that was over with, he returned to Henry. “Okay. All done.”

Henry peeks out of his cloak once more before pulling it off completely. “Alright, this is good now.” He stands up and dusts himself off.

“Uh, I don’t think so. That’s a little too big…” She shuddered.

“Aww okay. Looks like I might need to find somewhere else. Kidding~ nya ha ha!”

Lucina could not help but to snicker at the dark mage’s creative ways to annoy others. A hand went towards her lips in an attempt to cease laughing, but it failed quickly. “I’m sure its a mixture of both. You need hands to hold one, no? Falchion is very sharp, you know.”

His words that followed made her ponder briefly if she was not some sort of hypocrite- she said she was honest, but hid many things. Perhaps so, but it was necessary- to tell the horrors she had observed in her time were not things she liked to recall and it could strike fear into her comrades’ hearts.

“I…suppose you have a point- but I try to be as honest as one can.”

“Ah! I made you laugh, that’s a new one.” He wasn’t even trying to either. “Probably, Freddy’s not too good with jokes.” Henry gives a small shrug. Well looks like those risen hands will be useful after all.

“See? Even you’re not completely honest. I’m usually pretty honest, I just don’t tell things unless asked and most people don’t think to ask me things. So a lot of my stuff stays pretty hidden.”

“I never had a crow up close…but they kinda of look fluffy…” It seems like she is actually considering the crow part, at least. Hiyori was happy to see him back to his somewhat man-child ways. “…Nothing you can’t control and that is not harmless. Hexes are dangerous, no?”

“Yeah, you are some sort of gentleman…a weird one, but I’m not complaining.” She smiled warmly at the other, taking the handkerchief back and placing it in her pocket for safe keeping. “No buts. Unless its a tickling hex that doesn’t last long.”

“They are, until they start pecking ya, but I can keep them from doing it if you’d like.” Henry was glad she was at least debating on the crows. “Yeah they are, but that’s what makes it fun right?”

“I’m going to take that as a compliment.” He gives her a wide grin. “Awww, Hiyori, I can do that without a hex. That’s no fun.” Though he’ll have to still keep it in mind for later, even if it wasn’t a hex.

Hibiki sighed in annoyance. “If I pull the curtains over every window in my house, will you get up then?” Or probably wait until sunset…

“…Yes, probably.” Henry gave a small nod, peeking out from the cape before letting out a squeak and pulling it back up. Wow was the sun bright right now.

Vampire!Au Starter Lines

“You alright?” “Your eyes look different..” “Why are you leaning closer?” “You’ve been acting weird..” “Don’t talk about my heartbeat.. It’s creepy..” “What are you doing up so late?” “Woah, put a jacket on! Your freezing!” “Your.. Your teeth look strange..” “Why haven’t you been eating?!” “Your stomach is growling; ya hungry?” “I know your secret..” “What is wrong with you?! C’mon, you can tell me!” “I already know.. You hear about the murders lately?” “Stop starring at my cut.. It’s weird. ” “Hah! “ Er, ‘haps we might try when I’m kinda havin’ my relaxin’ time?” Donnel nervously grinned, maybe there won’t be another time for a chance for curse on making people more tired to be cast against him. “ Bitter o’ not, surefully I’ll try! For work definitely!!! Woah Henry, didn’t know that you know how to make herbal drink! That’s amazin’ y’know!!!” 

“Alrighty, now you’ll know who to come to.” He grins over at the other. “Well I am a mage, so of course I know a little about this sorta thing.” But it’s still best to not trust him. “C’mon, I’ll get the supplies from my tent.” He turns and starts heading towards he direction of his tent.

That caught her off guard.

“Angry? Why would I be upset at you? Its not like you have hexed me or my family…but I will make sure you never wield a tome if you dare to.” 

Naga, please help me understand this man.

“I prefer brutal honesty than straight up lying in order to protect others.”  

“Well I called you weird, most people would get kinda annoyed by that. I think I offended Freddy a couple times by saying that or maybe it was just the nickname. Huh, oh well. Oh how so? I wanna know now.”

“I guess so, but even I have to say there are somethings people are better off not knowing.”

“Yes, I just did,” She nodded. “My fluff’s like a rucksack for me of sorts. I have all kinds of stuff in there.”

“Woah, I bet you could hide a body in there!” Oops, here we go again.

“…You are so mean.” 

Her words were severe, but the tone was gentle- it seemed like he was beginning to feel better. She chuckled gently at his own giggle, glad that the weight was somewhat lifted from his heart. Whatever had managed to shake him was not something that could be forgotten, probably.

 “You are one…in your very Henry-way. I’m thankful to have met you- but no hexing at me.” Hiyori mock-wagged her finger, a grin upon her lips.

Henry gives a slight pout. “Aww, but I meant that in a good sorta way. Crows are exceptional cuddlers you know and I have this one hex that makes it so that you laugh uncontrollably, but I don’t really know how to make it stop yet...”

“So I’m a special sort of gentleman huh? That’s neat.” He gives another small pout at the last bit. “But Hiyoriiii.”

“Yep!” She chirped, reaching into her fluff to pull out a bag of birdseed. “Here you go!”

He blinks staring a the seed in her hand and back to her. “Did you just pull that out of there?”

 “I see…well, just let it out. Maybe you had a bad dream and your body is reacting towards it.” A genuine smile spread upon her lips and she took out a handkerchief from her pocket, then calmly wiped it across his cheeks.  “Nonsense, Henry. I’m certain you would do the same if I was in your shoes right now.” Maybe if she seemed cheerful he’d feel a bit better…? “Its the least I can do- you have been nothing more than a gentleman to me ever since we meet.”

That actually might make sense. He had nightmares occasionally, mostly about his mothers death, that was a very likely cause for this. “You’re probably right Hiyori.” A slight giggle escapes his lips. “Actually, if the situation were reversed I’d probably cover you in crows and hex you silly. Close enough.”

“Gentlemen? Now that’s something I’ve never been called before.” Honestly he was starting to feel a bit better, he guessed talking with her was really helping him.

“I know I’m not normal, but…you are quite something. It takes one to know one, don’t you think?” She did not laugh- Lucina was far too absorbed in trying to figure the guy’s mentality. Out of all the tales her father had spoken about, this person was one of the most intriguing ones, given that no one could say much about him. 

“I do admire your honesty, though. Its…refreshing.”

“I guess you’re right, heh, I almost expected you to get mad at me for a moment nya ha ha.” He grins over at her, just like usual.

“So you don’t want me to lie then. Go it.” Henry gives her a small nod, really she was starting to confuse him a bit.

“Ah, well I do have some birdseed. Think they’d like that? I sure do.”

“That sounds fine, do you have it right now?”

“ Ah! U-Uh, perhaps I should haf’ta pass on this offer! I have some cleanin’ duty to do afterward, I mean, can’t really faint’a the time right now, ain’t it? Hmmm, so ya don’t have anything that can energize a person up?”

“Awww alright, maybe some other time then?” Henry gives a slight shrug. “I can make this one Herbal drink that might give you some extra energy. It’s kinda bitter tasting though. I hope you like bitter stuff!“
