While we were in Austria, my sisters and I were carving letters in branches. After some times and carved branches, I wanted to do something else than carving names, so I tried this. The first photo shows it directly after I finished it. The second shows it a little but more dried the next day.

This book series had the potential to be good. Instead it was full of plot holes, bad character development, and predictable moments.
I wouldnt say the whole series was bad, the plot holes were mainly in the Rotg (correct me if im wrong). I liked the general idea, and the ending was also interesting (maybe predictable) but i have the feeling that the details were not worked out in the last book(s), and that made me disappointed
The character development was pretty good, in my opinion. I mean sarahs sucked big time but an, maccabee, aisling, and shari’s were all pretty good. I did think they could’ve given baitsakhan some as well, the made his character a bit 2-dimensional.
Aggreed. The book series wasn’t that bad, or else we wouldn’t be here. But there were definiatly some aspects that could’ve been improved.
Yeah the characters and the plot were pretty well done in my opinion. The only thing I would say could have been fixed was the writing style. I noticed (at least in the English version) the sentences tended to follow the same pattern and weren’t all that interesting.
I think that many of the characters could have been written better, Baitsakhan for sure, also Sarah (maybe talking more about the fact that she’s half native, and also making her disadvantaged since she trained for just 4 years), Marcus should’ve lasted more, Kala could have been more appreciated, and CHIYOKO SHOULDN’T HAVE DIED IN SUCH A DUMB WAY. Also it kinda seemed like they had no idea how to write about Aisling so they made her too passive and knocked her out for most of the books. The plot holes were terrible in the last book. I honestly didn’t like it. About the writing style, I agree, it wasn’t really good. It was like, almost something between a screenplay and something scientific? With stuff like “X walks 3.4 meters to his left” and I really didn’t like it because the fact that the space and time references were so precise made it hard for me to lose myself in the book.
I really liked those scientific details?although they where not in metric so i could not really visualise it. At the moment i was reading it i really liked the writing because it was different from other books I didnt notice sentences in the same pattern (but i read a translated version)
Yeah i think the exact numbers are pretty good and yes, the writing style certainly isn't very artsy but i liked it because it's different
