I know nobody gives a shit about the south, but I hope you know we're here, a significant number of us stand with Palestine, and lots of people are fighting like hell to get our entrenched and corrupt representatives to listen to calls for ceasefire. I haven't personally been able to participate due to ongoing health issues but I felt it appropriate to share this here.

I know the focus is on protests in big cities right now, but I want to note that there are many smaller protests that have been happening where I am, here in Oklahoma. Several hundred people participated in demonstrations outside the Capitol and in Tulsa, and it made enough of a stir that the news reported on it. I think with enough pushing we have a shot at actually being heard, for a change.

Don't forget the role that middle America has in producing weapons that are being used for genocide. I'd argue that really, the fact that so little focus is on the South and Midwest where weapons are predominantly manufactured is a problem, and those who support the ongoing genocide are really banking on the lack of attention.
