I actually have a little elder scrolls inspired fimfic in my head that uses the logic you have of pure bred unicorns, so far i have pure blood earth ponies (larger and hardier, more fluffy for cold enviroments) and pure blood unicorns (more adept at magic overall, taller, about as close to horse elves as you can get without deer or elk.) no idea about the pegasi though.

Pure blooded pegasi have bird brains, clearly!

Naw, I’ve seen some cool pegasus designs where they tail feathers, and where their feather patterns are more detailed and fancy. They could have bird-like plumage.

I like the idea of pure blooded earth ponies having more natural tones, and horse-like marking - dappling and paint and stuff.

It's a little known fact that purebred unicorns use big manestyles to make themselves appear bigger than they are. It is still unknown if this is to attract mates or to ward off adversaries, or to just make them feel more comfortable about their diminutive height.

I love this.

That’s also why they’re more floofy, the floofy hooves and chest makes them look more muscular than they actually are.
