ok let me say some bs about my own phm oumota au that i’ll probably never do anything with at all. kokichi ouma and kaito momota involved on the project bc they’re ultimates and this is an all hands on deck situation. kokichi ouma as stratt’s right hand man. the explosion happens to kill the two pilots as well and they also send kaito momota despite his illness bc they have no other choice

#drv3 #kokichi ouma #kaito momota #oumota #this started as a project hail mary au including oumota #but the more I planned it the more I realised I was mirroring the last of us lmaooo #I have sort of planned this in much more detail #the illness that has infected the earth and Kokichi's planet is the same illness Kaito had in the game #and everyone on earth has it #Kaito is sent up to find a cure (he has a rare gene that allows him to fight longer against the illness)#Kaito is also made to forget he has the illness (but he remembers eventually because bro WILL be coughing up blood)#Kokichi is an alien (has human features but has a few differences)#his planet is also sick coincidentally with the same thing #his planet also knows he is immune but his planet is strictly pacifist #so Kokichi and DICE head out to find a cure #when Kaito and Kokichi meet DICE is already dead and Kokichi has been alone and stuck basically #Kaito and Kokichi find ways to communicate before meeting #although they can't interact with each other since they can't live in the same atmospheres???#oh yeah btw I am bad at science so I am not going to even attempt to make any of this make scientific sense #anyway they both figure out they're looking for a cure #ALSO ALSO on Kokichi's planet it is normal for them to lie when they speak #and it takes Kaito a while to clock this #so he just thinks he's met an absolute asshole of an alien #then it clicks that it's basically Kokichi's instinct to lie so Kaito settles down #Kokichi makes something that translates everything he says into the 'truth' so Kaito can understand him better #anyway Kaito notes Kokichi keeps asking odd questions #like “would your planet sacrifice a person if it meant creating a cure?”#and Kaito answers yes #and Kokichi becomes a telltale character and is like 'Kokichi will remember that'#anyway I ran out of tags but I have planned this out to an outrageous degree lmao

Boo, surprise update! Every single chapter of 13 Students Remain has now been edited and cleaned up, and all grammatical errors have been fixed!!! Any mistakes left in this fic at this point are probably going to remain, just like the students—

Anyway, I am never editing anything over 700k words again in my life lmao.

#decided to reread my fic over a month ago #noticed all the mistakes and cleaned them up because they irritated me lol #I do want to clarify I went out of my way to keep the fic the same #all I've done is space out ellipses and add more much needed commas where needed #and fixed any incorrect wording such as when I used class instead of glass #so theres been no drastic changes just cleaning lol #anyway it was actually super nostalgic reading through my fic I've missed it lol #found myself enjoying scenes I forgot writing such as the scene with Angie and Kokichi inside the Exisal #anyway! sorry for the silence. I must admit I've been so quiet because I don't have any updates to share ahaha

Not to get nostalgic on main but does anyone else ever miss that feeling when you first discover a game that just clicks with you and becomes your obsession for years. I'm talking spending hours late into the night reading fic after fic, scrolling through tumblr and admiring all the fanart, listening to music and playing out scenarios in your head. And it's like,,, wow, I love this game and I love these characters!!! And you feel the same way for years!!! And even several years later you still feel the same love for the game, but it's sorta muted, and you find yourself wishing you can discover the exact same game and the exact same characters all over again.
