The W stands for William... As in Bill Bellamy... Go see him at Goodnights while he is town this weekend!
The W is checking out Merlefest this weekend!
The W stands for justice #nationalsuperheroday
Happy Administrative Assistant's Day to TWC News' very own Debbie Carter! She does so much for everyone, even the W wanted to show her some appreciation! #TWCNews #wheresthew #nationaladministrativeassistantsday
The W got our morning anchor pretty good with an old-fashioned Rick Roll! #aprilfools #originalprankster #wheresthew
The W is working up a prank for April Fool's Day.

"Don't call it a comeback..I've been here for years.." - L.L. Cool J The W is getting all cleaned up for its big come back
Team TWC took the W along with us today on the 26th Annual Walk for Hope! It may have been rainy and chilly, but that didnt stop the W from joining in on the action!
The W's First Swim Lesson
The W has been a lot of fun places this summer, but it has NOT been swimming! Until today :) We took the W stand up paddle boarding with us on Lake Jordan. Don't worry, we made sure the W had plenty of sunscreen, and we only let it almost sink once.... :)
The W even got in a little paddling action.

The History of the W
Since the Where's the W blog started a few months ago I've been purposely vague about how the W came to be the most recognizable letter in Time Warner Cable News.
Have a seat and settle in for some story time..
While visiting the Greensboro newsroom, I stumbled upon a shiny letter W.. almost literally.. because it was on the floor. It seemed to be rebelling against being just another letter in the TWC News logo. The letter tried repeatedly to break free from its humdrum occupation of representing the WUH sound in news. Each attempt was thwarted by someone's feeble attempt to affix it to the wall with the rest of the compliant letters.
During my visit, the W was offered as a way to prop open the newsroom door. I think the W got a taste of what it was like to be away from the wall because when I got ready to leave I found the W in my bag wagging its tail ready for a car ride. Alright this story is only MOSTLY true. The W wasn't sticking to the wall and I did use it to prop the door open. I figured since it wasn't doing much other than holding the door occasionally that I could take it on adventures similar to those of Flat Stanley. So far, the W has been taken on trips all over- to the beach, Yankee Stadium, and Cape Hatteras - to name a few.
The W has turned into a "thing" and that's pretty cool if you ask me.
As I end my time with TWC News, the W will continue its visits and posts thanks to another W friendly person in the newsroom. The changing of the guard ceremony will be held on Thursday.
You can continue to follow the W with @cfunky2 on Twitter and here on Tumblr.
1 zucchini + 1 W = I don't know. I was never any good at math. Here is a picture nonetheless
The W took a trip that made its and handler (me!) jealous. @AndynewsAndy took the W to yankees Stadium. Lucky letter!
