Friendly science (from wormwood)
‹ @whispering-wormwood ›
Wilson, perked up from his studies, looking toward them with a small smile. “Friendly science? Is that what you are going to call me from now on?” He chuckled softly. Getting up and going to get a chair for them to sit with him. He picked them up gently and sat, Wormwood beside him. “Are you comfortable?” Wilson, asked, as he looked down back at his work. He paused a moment and got some spare sheets of paper out with a stick a charcoal for them.
“Here, how about we do some scientific drawings?” He smiled. Wilson, just wanted them to feel like, Wormwood was apart of his work, instead of leaving them alone. Wanted to keep them happy and active instead of leaving them bored senseless.
“I like that nickname. I like to think I am rather friendly, but I never get any visitors- Well, apart from you. I like having you around, Wormwood. It is rather nice to have company…” He sighed sadly for a moment, when he realised he was rambling on a little too much. Wilson, shook the thoughts out of his head, before continuing to speak.
Now, let us do some science!” He smiled wide and continued on with his work. Opening a book of flowers and small woodland creatures for, Wormwood to draw from.
“It is beautiful, Wormwood!” Wilson, looked down at him with a small smile, listening to him speak. It was interesting to say the least. Not fully understanding what he was going on about. He made a mental note to look into that later.
The scientist, hummed softly and took the sheets of papers from him. Moving over to his cupboards. Looking around the drawers, which were filled with odds and ends. He was surprisingly messy for someone who claimed to be so organised.
After some time of searching. “Ah! There it is!” Wilson, looked down and pulled out the empty picture frame and put, Wormwood’s picture in it. “There. Perfect!” He smiled proudly and moved to hang it above his desk.
“What do you think, Wormwood? Want to do more?”
"Yes yes, wormwood draw! Please?" Seems eagar. Upon recieving papers, he starts to draw again, this time drawing a strange creature. They're tall compared to the little wormwood drawing beside it, having four arms, a tail and hair. "This big friend. Met in cave. Very nice friend!" They're showing Wilson excitedly.

Wormwood patiently waited for Wilson to finish his ramblings and moving about. Even allowing themselves to be hoisted up onto a chair next to him. Paper and charcoal… The charcoal smelled a burnt friends. Made the living root frown a bit before smiling again, looking up to wilson. “Science friend nice. Draw science.” He took the charcoal feather pencil and started to draw. Lools like he’s drawing these bizzare runes onto the paper. “Wormwood like drawing.” They chime happily.
“Ah! Perfect! We shall make a scientist of you, Wormwood or my name isn’t, Wilson Percival Higgsbury!” He laughed softly and looked down at him. Catching his frown. Did he say something wrong to upset the little one? Wilson, dismissed it, when he was smiling again. Going back to work and letting the little one continue on with his doodles.
“Oh? I am glad you like it!” He chuckled softly and glanced down at his work. Interesting. He paused a moment and frowned. “Those are some interesting… Drawings?” Wilson, gave a small pout. Rubbing his chin in thought.
Were those runes…? Some black magic? Maybe? They certainly aren’t woodland creatures…
“Wormwood… Where did you see these?” He asked curiously, looking over his drawings.
"Thank you." Wormwood said to the first comment on his drawings. To the second, he looks up and pauses. "... See in dream. Big bright drop wormwood. Grow, wander, hear... See these, draw these." He points to the paper. Quite a big story for a little plant! He was only three or four feet tall.

Do you like flowers? Roses, specifically?
Hello there Wormwood! Say, do you have a favourite plant out of them?
Questions have anyone?
What do you dream about?

Hi hi? Anyone?
reblog this if you’re a don’t starve ask/rp blog
we’re just 6 hungry fellows just lookin for some food and warmth from the cold winter
Wormwood recoiled instantly at that. “No!! Fire bad! Very very bad! Why you burn plants?!” He looked just as betrayed as he sounded. A lot.
———–
“Sorry. Plants just aren’t my thing. But they’re pretty, yeah.” She continued non-hesitantly, digging into her satchel and handing Wormwood a garland. “Anyway, here. This’d look good on you.”
He recoiled away from her even more. “Why?! So many hurt! Hurt flower friends! Bad!” He was nearly shrieking at this point, looking genuinely scared for his life.
It took Willow until now to realize that she should’ve been concerned and she should’ve felt bad. But to be honest, she wasn’t. “…Hey, look, I won’t hurt you or anything.” She reassured him, despite being terrible with emotional comfort. “You’re, uh, living. And pretty. So, don’t worry about that.”
“Flowers pretty living too!” Wormwood scrambled to get to one of his chests before pulling a tentacle spike out. Probably got it from around a merm house. “No more! No hurt plants!”
“…” Visiting Wormwood was probably the worst decision for her. She flinched slightly, sighing. “Okay.. don’t hurt me, jeez.”
"You hurt plants! Again, hurt you!" He held onto the tentacle spike for now. "No hurt plants. No hurt you."
