Even though it was as innocent as it sounded coming from a kid, the question was actually smart. Whisper didnât know him, and in a place like this, it was wise to keep strangers at a comfortable distance. Yuuto had been doing that much since him and his counterparts had all woken up hereâbut Whisper didnât have to worry about him.
And the light chuckle heâd let escape at that was hopefully enough to reassure her he meant no harm by telling her heâd find a way to take her to Ruri.Â
âSheâs one of the people in charge of this place,â Yuuto admitted, motioning toward a gate that would lead them toward the wardenâs area should Whisper trust him enough to follow, âI havenât mentioned, but earlier my cards were taken from me, too. Itâs the same for everybody here. No one knows why, but where they went depends on what summoning method was in them.â
âRuri is amazing at Xyz summoning. She uses a Lyrilusc deck that she built herself, and because you use Xyz summoning too, Iâm almost certain thatâs who your cards went to. But, donât worry. I imagine you two will get along great though, so sheâll help.âÂ
And after all, didnât all parents teach their children to be careful of strangers? Hers just happened to bring strangers around often enough whom were meant to help her that she simply assumed he was one of them. But as he spoke of knowing something about her missing cards? That struck her as a little strange.Â
After all, he parents did tell her they had enemies to be careful of...
But Yuuto was being kind to her and actually treating her like a kid. She couldnât help but feel attached to him. Usually older people treated her like a mini adult due to her parentsâ lines of work, so the change of pace from Yuuto? She liked it. It made her happy.
Still, she tilted her head to the side even more, the confusion clear on her face. âWhere are we? Are we not in Maiami City?â After all, she knew the man who was in charge of Maiami City, because her mom worked for him. Him, not her. Nerves becoming clear, she asked him, âWhy would they take peopleâs cards from them? Are there bullies in charge of this place? I donât like it. I want my cards. I want to go home. Can you please take me home?âÂ
Ruri, was that the name of the mean lady in charge of this place? This was far too confusing, but... âI-I want my cards back. Can we get my cards back, please?â Then she could focus on going home. After all, her going home without them would be even worse than staying in some strange place run by bullies who stole cards.
