I havenât posted in a while because of my inability to write anything but by god that new Changsu official art and merchandise has me seated. Iâm terribly excited and Iâm trying to gain any sort of motivation to write.
Happy Fatherâs Day â CHANGSU OH
A celebration for a very stressed and overworked, and probably underpaid father.
Happy Fatherâs Day!
Character/s listed: Changsu Oh
c/w: nothing just domestic fluff, really sugar-y sweet.
HEAVY â his body feels heavy and weary, exhaustion is a far much simpler word to describe the feeling he feels. His bones feel brittle, muscles aching and he swears he feels a cramp somewhere â maybe his foot.
Now that he thought about it, he hasnât massaged his feet in a while.
A sigh left his lips with each agonizing step towards the door, the smell of something sweet seeping through, his eyes twinkle for a mere moment as he unlocks the heavily secured door. His own paranoia and cautiousness being his own bitter folly as he takes his own aching time on the door and with his own simmering annoyance realizing that maybe he should just kick it down.
But of course repair is expensive, and itâs not worth it, and this is just his fatigue talking.
And maybe weakness.
Finally opening the door to be greeted with the warmth of his own home, saccharine delight envelopes his senses as he takes his time swallowing each and every detail of the safest place in his heart, walking slowly to what he sees as heaven down on earth â you.
You and Chunhee with frosting-covered cheeks, flour in inky strands of hair that matches his, tied up to not be in a mess but yet here she is, managing to get herself dirty. He canât help but have his heart ache, fondness eating at his weariness, his eyes then lands on you, a smile on your lips, that apron adorned on you, noticing him first far before his sweet daughter busy taking sneaky bites out of the frosting the two of you made, âWelcome home,â you greeted him with so much affection â thud.
Huh?
Did his knees go weak?
A soft smile on his lips upon realization, he canât help but chuckle despite both of his worldsâ worry at his sudden fall.
Has the universe blessed him so? It very may well has as he stands, one hand busy at the doorframe as he walks towards the both of you, concern etch your features yet he canât help but notice the disarray youâre in instead, the cake thatâs being decorated with too much sweetness that he knows itâs his daughterâs plan than yours; he stands behind you, face nuzzled at the very crook of your neck, one arm around your torso while the other is busy holding Chunheeâs head, and before gratitude left his lips, your sigh left first.
âHappy Fatherâs Day,â both you and Chunhee greeted, his sweet daughterâs much mirthful and childish voice overriding yours, but nonetheless the lithe and sweetness you presented him is enough to make him drop to his knees all over again. âThank you,â he muttered far too softly as he kissed your forehead, then as quickly kiss his daughterâs forehead, unless he wants her to pout and sulk.
His eyes met yours when he did finally pull away from your neck, amazing and delightful as it was, your scent, then your cologne, and the layers of vanilla and butter, the flour just combining into his own idea of a tasty dessert.
He holds your gaze for a moment, the soft twinkle in your eyes, the way the corner of your eyes wrinkle, then it drifts to your flour stained cheeks matching his daughterâs, to your nose being lightly touched with frosting that has Chunheeâs name all over it. But then it drifts even more to your lips, the crinkle of your lips and cheeks dipping, and in the very corner, your own crime.
Sneaking off to take a taste of the icing yourself.
He assumed that maybe Chunhee took after him and his own⊠unsavory details, but no, of course she took after you.
Sneaky, sneaky thing.
He chuckles much to your own confusion, he gives your nose a light kiss, licking his lip to taste the icing that both you and Chunhee have been sneaking around each other for â and oh.
It does taste nice.
âWhat was that for?â You questioned him, a brow raised while you gave him a sideward glance, adding the finishing touches to the cake you and your daughter have been so busy creating all evening, one you should present to the man who arrived far too early than planned or else his daughter decides to excitedly take a bite first. âJust⊠some frosting,â he murmured softly, your brows furrowed at his words, such pathetic reasoning! He couldâve just said he wanted to kiss you!
You face him, brows knitted together as youâre about to confront him and his romantic cheesiness but he catches you off-guard with a chaste kiss to the corner of your lips, featherlight but warm, soft and sweet, dripping with his own love and affection even if itâs just a quick peck. You look at him, flabbergasted, that same cheeky smile he has as he holds your gaze, licking his lips, proud of his own damn rascality.
You were far too distracted, your annoyance of his own romanticism now evaporates; putting the piping bag down as you have your arms wrap around his neck with your own faux pout on your lips. Of course he replies with a much indulgent smile, he leans down, hands holding your waist â âEwwww,â ah. Chunhee. Right.
His own daughter, his world, his universe, his own damn folly and hurdle to your lips.
âSorry,â both of you muttered out in defeat, much to his than yours. Can a man not kiss the very center of his axis? Be able to tell the people he has bested Icarus and kissed the sun on the lips and lived to tell the tale? Can a man just not be a pathetic lovesick fool?
Chunhee then points to the almost finished cake, one last finishing touch is needed.
You sigh upon realization, your body blocks his view but he can tell with your focus, is you slowly placing the words written out: âHappy Fatherâs Day,â on the cake, and with a smile on both you and his daughterâs lips as you twirl the cake to face him, he huffs.
Why did he expect you to even write it out in icing? Of course youâll just buy the ones you can stick on the cake. âDisappointed?â You teased, his face blank but his eyes betray him, he takes in the entire cake in its glory, messy it may be with the softness of a man whoâs living two lives, is the overflowing amount of love behind lidded eyes.
Chunhee suddenly hugs his leg, probably sneaked away for a moment while both of you stand in the comfortable silence of each otherâs presence. Little arms wrapping around his once sore legs now filled with vitality that he doesnât recall where it came from, maybe when he jokes about receiving a kiss for a power-up itâs kind of true; a small smile on her lips as she waves a card into the air, an indulgent chuckle left his lips as he kneels down. Taking the card from his daughterâs fingers, opening it to find in childish writing, hangul messy and obviously still learning how to write the characters properly, he smiles.
He kissed her forehead, then the fat of her cheeks, despite her disgruntled and blank expression, unlike your amusement.
Not knowing youâre next of his overbearing affection.
That conniving glint in his eyes as he tilts his head towards you from where he kneels, he stands slowly. You step back.
He inches closer, you move away.
His arms spread, his gaze hungry, much to your dismay.
âChangsu,â you uttered his name in warning, but it falls on deaf ears.
And the moment you stepped back a little too far heâs already holding you and peppering your face in his own sick, twisted, evil, deplorable, syrupy â affection!
Much to your daughterâs disgust as he keeps kissing your face, a smile on his lips as he annoyingly has you wrapped around his arms as heâs relentless with his damn pecks, a woodpecker maybe, or a hummingbird who doesnât know when to stop drinking the flowerâs nectar; greedy, gluttonous bastard!
You try to push his face away, his daughter already having her back turned and humming very loudly in protest of her fatherâs sickly sweet affection.
Then he mutters the word softly, with that loving, deeply devoted, pathetic look he can muster, one that stops you in your tracks to gawk at, âI love you.â He mutters, lips far too close with yours, breath mingling against each other before he eventually holds you tight, his face delving itself on the very crook of your neck.
âI love you too,â you muttered back. A smile you canât help etch across your features.
This was supposed to have a scene where Changsu and reader are in their own private comfort, kissing, when Changsu suddenly greets the reader back with âHappy Fatherâs Dayâ too, but itâll be too lengthy and Iâm pushing the storyline a bit if I did.
Happy Fatherâs Day to Changsu Oh specifically, oh how I miss him.
Oh and Eli Jang, Pacheon Jo, and Yugang Ha too.
Itâs genuinely not a bad idea to not post for a while so I can let it simmer but if I stop now Iâd probably never post again because Iâm too lazy. We have to keep a pattern. Iâm so sorry fellas.
Having a Significant Other Who is a Foreigner?
Honestly this is a filler post because Iâm writing a lengthy one, so something quick like this thatâll explore nuances with Korean society and also these characters would be nice retrospect.
Characters whoâŠ
Will learn everything about your background, acquisition of all sorts of information is second nature at this point. Who you are is the most vital part for them, what built you and the environment you are in is just an exploration of your character. They will gladly learn the language just for you, and gladly learn everything, because itâs you. They would love to visit your home country if they werenât so busy, but the rare occasion both of you actually manage, well, theyâll go all out. Explore, adventure, learn, you name it. Sharing is an important aspect of love â isnât it?
Characters who⊠fit in this category:
James Lee, J, Changsu Oh, Eugene, Crystal, Yujae Seon
They donât particularly care, or see any difference whether where you came from or what. They make an effort but itâs simply just integrating your culture with theirs, or occasionally cooking you the food from home, though donât necessarily expect more than that. They can be ignorant, idiotic, or plain stupid, donât pardon them, remind them and make sure it sticks. Despite their lack of interest, it doesnât mean to promote your disinterest of sharing, theyâd still enjoy it, in their own way.
Characters who⊠fit in this category:
Gongseob Ji, Gun Park, Samuel
Theyâre trying. Their very best. Theyâll probably learn more from you than anything else, has absolutely no idea and due to the upbringing has this bubble that theyâve surrounded themselves in and are literally uninformed with every aspect. Guide them if you need to, show them everything theyâre ecstatic, and anything you show them will be met with childish curiosity. Patience and love should be the nourishment because bless their hearts, itâs new for them and theyâll accept it with pure enthusiastic glee.
Characters who⊠fit in this category:
Daniel Park, Vasco, Jay Hong, Eli Jang, Jerry Kwon, Lineman, Jinrang, Seongji Yuk, Mira, Zoey
Is aware but itâs both from misinformation and just pure assumption from everyone and the environment they are in, they actually tried to be more informed and profusely apologized to you or simply acknowledges their past mistakes and transgressions. Some parts are so foreign to them so you genuinely have to sit them down to explain it much clearly. Never mince your words with them, theyâre here to learn about you and where you come from, after all â you know so much about them and their culture, why canât they do it for you?
Characters who⊠fit in this category:
Jace, Jichang Kwak, Taesoo Ma, Seokdu Wang, Jaegyeon Na, Hudson Ahn, Zack, Sally, Warren Chae, Mary Kim, Jake Kim, Sinu Han, Johan
Please keep their damn mouth shut before they say something stupid. Patience? No. If you have that amount of patience you are a saint. Strength. What you need is strength to have them behave. They are idiotic, stupid, and plainly a headache and a pain in the ass. Itâs better if you keep them in line.
Characters who⊠fit in this category:
Goo Kim, Gongseob Ji, Vinjin
Actually relating to each other in the aspect of both culturally and socially because of shared experiences as someone who is either mixed or a foreigner themselves.
Characters who⊠fit in this category:
Mandeok Bang, Gun Park
Doesnât gaf, too idealistic or doesnât have it in them to care â denies self-identity while also being aware of it; they need to deal with some issues themselves before actually conceptualizing the idea of a relationship with anyone at all.
Characters who â itâs just Kitae. Itâs just Kitae, no one else is here. (And maybe Samuel.)
Would these characters actually date SEAsians?
That is one of the many questions I hold when reading this Manhwa, alongside with: would they respect people who are queer or within the community?
Lengthy drabble under the cut!!!
I might have to make a filler post because the current writing project I have has six characters⊠and the writing direction is so horrible that I might need to beta read it multiple times. But every other wip I have in mind also requires individual attention, terrible time!
Gentle Mornings
Whatâs it Like Having Mornings with Them â gen 1 kings.
I find them frankly underrated and letâs say I have some favoritism.
Characters listed: gongseob ji, taesoo ma, changsu oh, jichang kwak
c/w: none, fluff.
GONGSEOB JI â sneaking around like teenagers.
The wind blows gently outside of the temple walls, the fog evident from the mountaintop, the smell of incense and a particular expensive cologne that shouldnât be in a Buddhist temple stir you awake.
Large hands envelopes your sides, heavy arm over your torso as he tugs you closer, his face strangely and peculiarly imbedded in your neck to be convinced that heâs just âsleepingâ; that fake monk seems to enjoy pretending because every time you try to move away or try to gain a semblance of space he seems to hold onto you tighter, and you feel a particular huff on your neck that is closer to something of amusement than some sleepy grumble.
âGongseob,â you mutter his name softly, voice still thick and heavy from exhaustion, dry as it is in the morning, yet despite it he didnât bother to move. Staying still like a statue. You tap his arm lightly, no movement.
How aggravating, he has a certain knack and talent for that doesnât he?
You try again, whispering his name to deaf ears, tapping his arm harder, to eventually hitting him. It earned a much fake cry of pain, extremely fake, as if youâre dumb enough to be convinced that someone like him where whispers of being some âIron Fortressâ canât withstand a hit or two. âMm⊠good morning,â he smiles, that infuriatingly goofy and cute one, he looks like a satisfied cat if you thought about it in your hazy morning, blurry eyes, and the dim room, âThat hurt, can you make it up to me?â He leans in even more, suffocating you from his hold that despite being âwoken upâ has you still tightly in his arms, âYouâre suffocating me bastard.â You wheezed out, slapping onto his shoulder before he lets you go with a chuckle, his hand still refusing to let you go.
âYouâre so mean to me every morning, youâre not a morning person hm?â He hums, âIf I spend every morning with you I donât see why I should be.â he fakes a pout, his lips found your cheek, then to your much lidded eyes that are having trouble keeping themselves open, âOuch. Can I get a kiss for all this cruelty?â You grumble in reply to his words, pinching his cheeks hard enough that it actually earned a proper cry of pain, a whisper onto the quiet temple walls, âIn your dreams,â you mutter as you get up, âIs that so? Well I suppose we can sleep some more.â
He certainly has a way to keep you in your damn toes if he startles you awake by pulling you back into bed, âGongseob,â your voice is more strained with annoyance, âI have to go,â he hums, completely ignoring your concern, âYou fake monkâ you really donât care about getting caught huh?â he hummed some more; maybe learning boxing isnât so bad if you get to hit this damn monk beside you thatâs too pleased of his own mischief.
He taps your nose lightly, âYou worry too much, itâs not like one of the other monks would do some rounds and find us,â you roll your eyes at his words, the urge of arguing is strong but also is staying in the nice warm embrace of his arms when the chilly air of the morning gives you a little shiver â fine. Youâll indulge him.
Then footsteps echo outside, some murmuring, then a knock on the temple door loud enough to make both of you scurry â you in particular hiding away while he pretends heâs getting ready for the morning.
He greets his fellow monk â a stretch really, heâs not much of a monk. His false pretenses of chatting and conversing, some fake promises and of course the questions about the stolen donations if he knew anything about it⊠he shrugs it off, muttering another lie through his teeth, a smile too bright for the morning on his lips as he bids his much very real monk counterpart farewell with a wave.
A few seconds passed, the heavy silence that hangs in the room evident, then the sound of the door being closed and then his much stiff body you manage to take a peak from the place you hid, he barely moved aside from his quiet breathing. Then he finally faces your direction to urge you from the spot you hid, âClose call, isnât it?â He jokes, earning a much deserved slap on his shoulder, âThis is your fault.â He chuckles softly, âFine, fine, letâs sneak you out why donât we?â He leans in to steal one more kiss, crazy bastard.
TAESOO MA â ash and soot; campfire cozy.
Cinder and charcoal still smell so strongly even as the night passed, the croak of a new day as the rustle of the trees doesnât seem to bother you, nor hinder you in your much sleepy daze as a particular warmth engulfs you, and soft snoring reminding you of the much lovely evening of his much carnivorous diet.
He was insistent on taking you camping often, even if it was terribly cold at night, or staying in a tent, even if youâre half convinced thereâs a dinosaur out in those woods and heâs too meat-hungry to be afraid or simply donât care because heâs a âKingâ or whatever.
He only managed to convince you because of the promise of sweet everythingâs and perhaps some sâmores on the side of his unusual meat delicacy being roasted over the fire, you swear you can taste snake meat on your marshmallow but he says itâs all in your head, yeah right. But of course he can kiss those thoughts away, hold you close under the stars, and make you not mind camping all over again.
It really wasnât bad, especially when he can make you laugh and escape the buzz of the world, hold your hand close to his chest and tell you stories, or maybe how he lets you play with his hair, or the soft moments of the night that seeps in the morning filled with that comfortable warmth of his arms around you, his breathing steady against your neck. The tent barely could be any sort of insulation from the still cold weather of dawn â what even made you wake up so early?
Youâre comfortable in the man of your dreams, arguably. A respectful, fine-looking, rich man who is tall and owns the very ground you and he is sleeping with, you mean⊠what else is there really? Then you hear a rustle.
It was faint, almost imperceptible, then another follows it, you try to peek over the large man behind you whoâs still sleeping soundly to even move and make any sort of noise, you seriously debated if you should wake your man or if you should just swallow down the fear and check it yourself.
Of course pride took over first, he looks too peaceful sleeping, who could blame you?
So with your wits and bearings you crawled over to the tentâs entrance, fingers trembling as you start to unzip slowly, making every possible horrible thing youâll see the moment you peaked at the small opening youâve made, just a small crack that you barely can see anything as the sun was just rising. Then you tried to open it a bit more, gently, and slowly, as if making too much noise might alert whatever is out there, your own breathing too loud for you to the point that you had to put a hand over your mouth â yet, despite your best efforts you still see nothing.
Maybe you were hearing things!
Then another rustle came outside. Much closer, nearer, and undoubtedly loud.
You had to stare back to the sleeping man behind you who is still, of course, sleeping. Earning a shaky sigh from you as you try to see anymore movement outside, you can quickly crawl to him for safety right? Right. Probably.
You unzipped more of the tent, trying to find what could possibly be outside, a bear? A wolf? You pray itâs a deer, you hope for all you can itâs not a snake â maybe no spiders too. Maybe if it is a spider you pray itâs at least the big ones where you can spot it instead of the creepy crawling tiny ones where it disappears if you look away â actually none of those options sound appealing.
You took in a deep breath as thereâs a larger opening, one where you can easily see out of it this time, so with both fear and perhaps a bit of curiosity makes you take a peak outside to spot â- âŠ
A rabbit?
A little bunny?
You were so scared for what? A tiny little thing? You breathed out a sigh of relief, hand to your chest as you fully take down the tentâs zipped doors with carefulness to not startle the little thing, you try to get a better view of it; hand fumbling beside you trying to find your phone, âBoo,â a whisper on the very shell of your ear startled not only you but the cute bunny hopping away from fear, a hearty lazy chuckle escaped him as you are rightfully annoyed at him, âDid I startle you?â His arms wrap around your torso to pull you in to the more warmer parts of the tent, a smile on his lips as he peers down above you, âYou startled that rabbit!â you jabbed a finger at his face, âI sâposse so,â he shrugs casually, kissing your forehead, âI think I startled two though,â he hums, earning an inquisitive stare from you, brows furrowed as realization sinks on what he meant, âYou!ââ you bit your tongue, âI was supposed to take a picture.â a pout was on your lips, earning a chuckle from him, pinching your cheek as he does, in which you retaliate by poking at the corner of his lips grinning at you, a grin you look longingly at, âI thought we both agreed on no phones?â you rolled your eyes at his words, now pinching his cheek, his stubble against your knuckles, âWhereâs my phone anyways?â he hums, pretending to think.
âTaesooâŠâ you muttered his name in warning, in which he of course canât help but laugh playfully at, he grabs something behind him to wave in front of you. Of course he hid it. âYouâre one evil man, you know?â he hummed at the idea, âHow about you open your phone,â you raise a brow at his words, jumping from his embrace as you quickly unlock your phone, eyes wide as you at your phone then at him, then back at your phone; a photo of a particular rabbit in multiple angles, some obscure but undoubtedly taken by a certain man while he was pretending to be asleep â you donât have to catch the fact that he took some photos (and perhaps videos) of your hair all tousled up and looking like a mess.
You happily return to his arms, peppering his face in kisses, âThank you Taesoo,â you say in between a kiss to his cheek, âYouâre the best,â you kiss him again, âYouâre never evil,â another kiss, âMm⊠you donât mind itâs not a proper photo?â he asks, face in your hands as you debate about his words, thinking about it, âI know you can grab me more, right?â your question sounds so cute and innocent but your smile tells him differently. A sigh left his lips, a weary, indulgent sigh. He smiles, âOf course.â
CHANGSU OH â domestic lazy mornings.
Sheets rustle, a squeak, then a groan escaped under the sheets of a much cramped bed.
Despite the size of the bed itâs not really useful when the little girl refuses to let go of her parentsâ shirts and tightly trying to keep both of them in bed with her, hugging her designer bag tightly as well despite the cold metal clasps seem to startle her poor father awake every few minutes each time she stirs, the thin tank top of his is a regrettable choice for him to wear to sleep this time around. He shouldâve known better. Thatâs his fault.
But why is his dear daughter leaving the bag against his chest when she happily sleeps tucked between your arms? This is obvious favoritism! His dear daughter who looks and acts like him, a 1:1 copy down to every single detail prefers you over him!â oh. Well. That makes sense, who does he kid. He also would prefer you over himself.
A sigh left his lips, then a soft chuckle. Stirring you awake as you try to rub your eyes without the sweet girl in your arms be disturbed in her quite affectionate sleep of holding onto your shirt tightly, âGood morning,â you greet him with a smile, the soft glow of the morning behind you, the sun hitting every curve and dip of your cheek to your face to the red of your ears, to the wisps of your hair to it being tousled, his eyes linger on the way your smile wrinkles slightly, the peak at your teeth, and for a moment he appreciates that.
He takes in every single detail, his own longing and joy, the rare moment of waking up with you, not before you, or after you, but in a manner where both of you are awake in bed, early enough to see the sun hit each otherâs faces despite the curtains shutting the supposed sun â yet fate is funny, making sure his breathing stills, his own distraction, his own hazy lucid dream greeting him in the morning with a soft, âgood morningâ.
âChangsu?â you called out his name in worry, bringing him back to his reality â a better version of his dream, where your hand is on his face, where he can nuzzle and smell you â faint as it was. Breathing in the reality of your warmth against his, his eyes shut for a moment to appreciate this for a little longer, his own escape of reality, before opening them to meet yours. His eyes linger on your face, the worried pout, how you wouldâve probably hover over him if Chunhee wasnât between your arms sleeping soundly, how pretty you are in the mornings; heâs fortunate to wake up and see you first thing in the morning.
His own joy, his peace, his world.
Everything stops the moment he wakes up to you; âGood morning sweetheart,â a pet name already escapes his lips, with too much endearment and affection that it was dripping with infatuation and sweetness, his eyes already filled with that mischief and love that you have to shake your head at his own ridiculousness.
âDid you sleep well?â he whispered, a rhetorical question clearly with how you glow, âMm⊠you?â you whispered back, watching his expression turn crestfallen with that signature frown of his on his lips, âWhadâya think?â you snicker, already spotting the reason of his tiny bags under his eyes, his hair more of a mess than yours, the small pits of white peaking through the ink convinces you that maybe he sprouted more grey hairs while heâs asleep, âI told you to change,â you hum, earning a groan from him, Chunhee was grumbling in between the two of you as you stare at each other at the dimly lit room, the sun peaking under the curtains as your yawn escapes first then his follows, âAnd I told you⊠you shouldâve hugged little Chunhee and Iâd hug you bothâŠâ he murmurs in defense, annoying you first thing in the morning earning the roll of your eyes, his mouth already starting bright and early, âI slept quite soundly, thank you very much.â you huffed.
He chuckles, stirring the sweet girl in your arms as you quickly shush him, âShushing me? Hm?â He leans in, uncaring for the cold bag that seeps through his shirt, his nose brushes against yours, lips inching away, âSo feisty in the morning,â he whispered, lidded eyes heavy as a lazy smirk is on his lips, âSo noisy in the morning.â you argued back this time, gaining a grin from him, he presses your faces closer, tilting his head slightly to have a quick peck on your lips, maybe more than a peck.
But someone was fussy.
Angrily hitting his chest as a hand was placed on his lips, toddler nails scratching him as he pulls away from the delight of your lips, âBaba! Baba!â she screamed loudly, a ring on both of your ears at her anger as she keeps pushing his face away from you, hand clasped on his mouth, âBaba youâre so noisy.â He was in disbelief.
His own daughter? Chastising him?
His heart broke.
Now the love of his life is laughing at him, holding his daughter, hugging her from behind as you look up at him in pure amusement, a sneaky little glint in your eyes as you lean down and press a kiss on the fat of your daughterâs cheek, âChunhee~â you cooed at her name, âIs baba too noisy?â she nods her head furiously, a big angry pout on her lips, cheeks puffed, âDo we want to kick him off the bed?â she nods even more.
Two of the people he loves with his entire heart? Going against him?
His heart aches.
Both of you are so mean to him!
He throws the bag somewhere else, much to the cry of his evil daughter who is mean to him, choosing sides, arguably the wrong side. He pulls you in, a fake pout on his lips as he has his very much cruel daughter in between the both of you be suffocated in both of your embrace as he leans down, his lips jutted out, âCan I get a kiss for my booboo?â he tries to act cute, especially the angry fists of his daughter hitting him in the chest and the angry screams of âbaba!â erupts between the two of you.
You tap your lips, pretending to think about it, then you sit up, still tapping your lips as you hum in thought.
âHmâŠâ you leaned in, much to his excitement, and much to his daughterâs dismay as his hand covers her eyes.
Your breath fanning over his, your lips so close he could taste it, he had to fight back having his head lean in to catch your lips already since heâs smirking like a damn fool, all âhurtâ pretenses is gone. Then you kicked him off the bed, arms holding Chunhee as both of you giggled.
A prominent thud echoed through the room as he tries to climb up the bed, both of his light all huddled up together under the sheets, giggling still as you lightly poke Chunheeâs nose, he had to shake his head with a sigh.
âMy, my, how cruel and sly.â he had to murmur to himself, âBoth of my darlings conspired against me.â
He hums, crawling over the bed much to your stare and questioning before a yelp escaped both you and Chunheeâs lips as he lays down on top of both of you, a chuckle left his lips as he suffocates you both with his weight, much to yourâs and his daughterâs frustration heâs unmoving. Endurance mastery being of help again as he smiles onto the sheets as he keeps getting hit by both of you.
These mornings he has, boring and cheesy⊠heâll never have it any other way.
JICHANG KWAK â warmth under the sheets.
The warm rays of the sun hits your skin, dancing against it as you adjusted yourself from your bed, the sheets rustle and tousled, your hair in its own mess as you look around for a moment. Your eyes already well-adjusted, you feel wide awake, and the most insane part is that you still crave to stay in bed all the while full of energy.
Where did this even come from? You were on your elbows as you look beside you â ah.
Jichang. That snake-eyed man is sleeping peacefully beside you, still in his dress shirt that he barely managed to unbutton, your mind is slightly still foggy but you recall him being as sweet as pie last night.
You donât really remember all the fine details but he definitely aided you in your restlessness, it seems in the expense of his own rest. That sweet mane he acts oh so mature for a person who should just be graduating his college years, how did he already become police? You sigh as you shake your head.
You look at his unkempt hair, the way the sun just hits his nose and lips, somehow even the celestial body refuses to disturb the peaceful man in his own slumber. The ray of light twists and bends against his cheekbones and cheek, dipping itself on his jaw, the disappearing onto the pillow under him. You hum in amusement as you fix his hair slightly.
Fingers gently moving the hair away from his face, his glasses seem to be beside his pillow, how careless of him.
Thatâs rare behavior, did he worry so much about your own wellbeing that he put too much effort on your own exhaustion than his? Such a saint of a man. You fix his hair a bit more, just before you place his glasses in a more secure area, like the bedside table beside him where you have to hover over him â a dangerous mission.
You breathed in, shaky breath as you try to reach the table without disturbing his side of the bed all too much, and when rationality and common sense hit you to put the glasses on your side of the bed well⊠youâre already far too gone. Far gone enough that you didnât even realize heâs awake, so focused and distracted to even notice how his arms wrapped around you before you can deliver the glasses to their destination safely, you hear it clatter somewhere but you donât know â well, how can you? Youâre right under him.
His stare was less of familiarity but something similar to habit, his breathing heavy before it turns soft, a sigh escaping his lips then as quickly follows it is his face buried in your neck. His arms finding itself snug against you, his embrace borderline suffocating as he practically imprisons you â your crime? Well you have a rough idea on what.
Disturbing his sleep.
âAlready awake?â He murmurs against your neck, his voice laced with its own heavy exhaustion, âMm⊠it looks aboutâŠeight? Eight in the morning?â You tilt your head to face his, hand against his cheek, âWhat about eight in the morning?â He tries to make a conversation and entertaining you still despite the current situation, huh? How sweet of him.
You try to face him properly, but with how tight his hold is he refuses to let you go, how both frustrating but childish of him, it was cute how he doesnât want to separate from you, even by a minuscule to maybe⊠you donât know, breathe. âDonât you have work today?â you asked, yet the only response you received was his mumbles and muttering, his breathing steady against your neck as both of you stay there for a while.
He tilts his head after a few moments, his lips against your ear, âA break is needed sometimes,â he whispered softly, âWould you listen to me if I also didnât take a break when I demand it from you last night?â He chuckles, but you shrugged him off, âI donât know~âŠâ you drawl out your words to tease him, âMaybe itâs my way to get you to take a break.â he scoffed at your words, kissing your cheek, âMm⊠too bad, I guess Iâll keep you confined in my arms,â he laughs at your own sounds of protest.
âYou snake!â you immediately accused out of him, jutting your finger in his direction, which he merely hums in agreement, âIâm the White Snake of Chungcheong after allâŠâ he brushes your words off so easily, as if your bluff is nothing but a bluff â it was! Could he not indulge your on the spot creative thinking of getting him to take a break? You huff, âHowâs work?â
The only reply you received is silence.
You grumbled in annoyance but not long after, âHorrible, go to sleep.â He demands, âCanât, wide awake.â A sigh left his lips, pulling you away for a moment to grab something from the drawer, then a kiss on the corner of your mouth, âAre you sure you are wide awake?â You kissed him back, right on the nose, âMhm,â despite the annoyance in his next sigh he looks quite pleased, âRead to me and stay here,â he passes the book to you, your own surprise as he lets you sit up but never truly escape his clasps, heâs laying on top of you practically as you flip open the book to its first page, as the first few words slip past your lips the man on your lap is already fast asleep.
Your words turn soft, a whisper into the air before you let the silence hang as you watch him sleep comfortably; you pull the sheets over him.
White Snake of Chungcheong⊠a fitting name for someone who chases your own body heat, his fingers always freezing, yet here he is on your lap stealing every part of your body heat and trying to make it his.
You play with his hair with one hand, his head subconsciously crooning against your touch, a smile on your lips as itâs your turn to sigh â a sigh of content as you flip the next page, mornings like these is rare.
And youâll appreciate every second of it.
The mornings you wish you and him have forever.

Craving content for characters that have collectively 100 chapters must be a curse placed upon the world. A big sorry to Gongseob for having the shortest and Jichang for being rushed, I miss all four of them collectively.
This is not beta read, if it wasnât obvious. I hope you all enjoyed reading thisđŠââŹ
I was withholding myself from writing anything about Changsu because I was convinced the next chapter will reveal something, duly note I did forget that itâs the Gen 0 arc and I have horrible memory.
I think itâs a fun endeavor to write for male or gender neutral readers for pride month, for Lookism readers, and maybe a fun challenge for myself while trying to grow this account:).
Changsu Oh headcanons, romantic and nonromantic
Since we barely know him in comparison to other characters I think itâs fun to theorize and look into his character stand alone and someone in a relationship.
CHANGSU OH â as a character.
He can speak English, mostly because itâs for international clients and English is a much simpler language to have common ground with. Heâs fluent enough to hold conversations.
With that, he might read a few English literature books, though unlike James Lee (or Eugene) he probably wonât have a collection nor finds any particular interest in it, itâs mostly for practice.
Is good at rhyming in both Korean and English, a habit probably formed by reading Chunhee bedtime stories.
Has the driest humor ever despite being playful, almost borderline childish, he literally said âOops.â when Kitae confronted him.
Smart in battle, makes ridiculous stupid statements in every other day. âI donât even know why it exists,â a quote directed to the human thumb, had to scratch my head on it.
Has probably indulged Chunheeâs every whim, from bags to playing games.
His nerd glasses are fake but he swears he canât see without them sometimes.
Has a bad habit of being straight-faced and Chunhee, having her father the only constant in her life (we have yet to see the mother for this claimâŠ) picked up on it and he tries to make more faces due to it.
His shoes have no heel because it makes his feet hurt.
Grew his hair out because Chunhee wanted to play with it, and getting his hair tugged all the time when it was short isnât a fun experience.
Does a complete 180 every time heâs in and out of disguise, as in heâll be that friendly neighbor in that blue tracksuit and then be that cold-blooded assassin the next.
Is really good at dressing up, matches with Chunhee often.
He smokes every chance he gets when heâs faraway from Chunhee then makes sure to have the smell expelled from his clothes or breath immediately.
Packs something soft-smelling for his clothes or mint all the time due to it.
He constantly has a type of weapon on him, metal detectors are his worst enemy and he despises it.
Extremely hygienic, I still laugh at his question if Kitae washed his hands before giving the bag to Chunhee.
CHANGSU OH â as a lover
I mentioned before that he likes to rhyme his words in the headcannons above, I do think he is the type to be quite corny and write poems.
100% is a date-to-marry person, predominantly because of Chunhee.
Does most of the housework, does believe things can be split between his partner, is the type to have a chore chart. Efficiency is his greatest crime (not really).
50/50 in everything to eventually giving everything he has.
Love takes time with him, slow (in Lookism standards), and progresses are taken with small wins of him being more open.
If you met his daughter heâs probably deeply in love and has already put much of his trust with you.
More of âeffort is more importantâ than money person, heâs wealthy enough, yes, but he does think genuine passion-created things have more value.
Despite that he enjoys spoiling, weâve seen Chunhee and her version of toys.
He does plan elaborate dates, probably more scenic than restaurants.
Very methodical, life is mundane with him, despite his occupation he likes the lazy mornings, quiet afternoons, and gentle nights.
Heâs funny, âhe makes me laughâ funny. Could charm his way just by making your stomach hurt and your cheeks ache.
Devoted man to the very core, he loves you to every inch, you saw how much he loves his daughter.
Is protective, not in the toxic obsessive way, in a more âyou donât have to hear the brutal stuff of my jobâ, like how he is when the other four Kings of Jeolla start talking about the mission and he immediately chastised them.
That also means he covers Chunheeâs eyes if baba kisses you on the lips, for a little too long.
If Chunhee was a little older she might stick her tongue out in disgust and consider you two as her âdisgustingly in loveâ parents.
I donât know if this is nice, this is the first time Iâve put my writing out there⊠and also writing any x reader content too.
Hope you all enjoyed
