Join us at Narrating Structures, #projectionmapping Workshop Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th January 2022 @weareuglyduck London. ‘Narrating Structures’ Videomapping workshop is an intensive workshop led by Dr Blanca Regina and assisted by Pierre Bouvier Patron where we introduce projection mapping in a hands-on weekend workshop. We will look at diverse techniques for producing audiovisual projects and immersive design in architectural spaces and objects and their application in artistic and creative practice. PROGRAMME 1st Session >> Saturday – Introduction to the mentors and presentation of their work in this field. – Study multiple video mapping projects. (Lunch break) - Introduction to MadMapper 5 - Hands-on - Projection mapping on different surfaces. - Hands-on 2nd Session >> Sunday - Recap and Questions. - Technical specifications. - Syphon and OBS - Introduction to Key, Midi, and OSC Controls with MadMapper. - Hands-on (Lunch break) - Creating content and live techniques for performances, installations, and streaming - Creation and presentation of a specific project. - Hands-on - Short demos by participants and closing considerations. Join us tonight @sparkhouse.london in an Audiovisual Night where we present our latest show Abstract Encounters with @pierrebouvierpatron including soundtrack collaborations @artterryband @benedmusic Abstract Encounters is the latest audiovisual performance by Blanca Regina and Pierre Bouvier Patron. It explores symbolic gestures, affinity with nature and questions about presence, space and its representation in the digital age. This playful performance is created in real-time with an open score including music recordings with Benedict Taylor (viola), Art Terry (piano and voice) and Blanca Regina (objects, voice and electronics), listening and reacting to conjuring the art of the moment. This project pushes the boundaries of traditional audiovisual language, combining multiple media by using analogue and digital techniques, presenting an immersive and dream-like experience for the audience with abstract imagery, films, animation, field recordings, vocal extravaganza and music created with objects. The evening is curated by @daisy_dickinson_films including a unique program and free entry. Blanca Regina and Reuben Sutherland meet in 2012 at RecMadrid. Their disciple by then was focused in live visuals. In 2022 their work has shifted to music making.
