GOOD OMENS SEASON 3 SPOILERS
I would've loved the entire season if the season had been an entire season, human ending and all! (Actually I still kind of liked that part but that's a whole different can of worms)
Look, they had a lot there. I think with an actual 6 episode season they would've been able to make the character payoffs feel earned, make the plot twists unexpected, and make the pacing not so rushed and strange.
AND I think the ending would've been bittersweet but still good and I think a lot more people would be on board with it. But the reality is, there were a lot of production problems that didn't lead to that happening.
I'M BLAMING YOU NEIL GAIMAN!!!!
I honestly wish that everything had been rewritten to fit a movie structure but I understand that is not something that was necessarily possible to pull off.
So as it is I kind of... hated it? But I expected to! I knew going in that there were a lot of things going on behind the scenes that were likely going to lead to a disappointing final season and I was correct about that.
But I think because I knew that and didn't have the highest expectations, I actually liked it more than I would've if I didn't consider that.
And besides all I really care about is seeing Aziraphale and Crowley interact on my screen and I got that! Even if it was weird and disjointed and didn't make much sense character wise. Micheal Sheen and David Tennant's performances were just so wonderful to watch I was still having a good time.
Basically I think everyone should go into this season with the very lowest of expectations.
Because I did that, I think I'm able to sort of give a lot of grace to the story and see it for what it was meant to be and not what it is. I can tell that it would've been good given the time and budget and creative liberties it deserved.
Anyway, I'm just gonna read fan fiction and kind of wish that humanAU aziracrow was made into an entire movie for me to watch completely removed from the original plot.
Because that was delightful regardless of whether or not it's good omens related. It's Micheal Sheen and David Tennant falling in love. I'll watch it anywhere anytime.
