( lights out, fuck?! ) ﹕ ‹ open ›
★ ––– VALSE SENTIMENTALE, echoes beautifully against the ancient walls of the floor lounge he had soon grown to love. he works hard at the things he does, he knows he does it well because at the end of the day he earns the big bucks. hand pressed in his soft locks, his eyes occasionally look over to the stranger, who too, seems to be at peace with this place.
the lights suddenly vanish, the darkness swallows him in while his heart suddenly drops. fuck, this place could be creepy at times. he allows a sigh to escape his lips, his laptop the only light in the room. “oh for love of god,” he huffs out, “you alright over there?” he calls out into the seeming abyss.
sitting in the dark, lilith felt truly at peace. she could feel the presence of someone next to her, but it was too dark to make out– a man, it appeared. she didn’t care much to interact with him. she preferred to be alone, and in the dark, everyone was alone. alone with their fears, their minds. the lack of stimulation allowed the mind to truly wander. she liked discovering where it took her.
“you alright over there?” a familiar voice called to her. she furrowed her eyebrows, realizing who was in the room with her. one person she actually slightly enjoyed the company of.
“sargus?” she called, unsure of which direction to speak to. she wasn’t quite sure where he was sitting; she tried to follow his voice. “it’s me, lilith. do you know why the lights have gone out?”
★ ––– he is thankful, to whoever, when hearing the voice of familiarity. gently sitting up from his wooden chair ( a squeak between them ) he pats the desk to find a better understanding of where he should step nice. “yeah.” he calls out with a soft chuckle. knocking on what seems to be a wall, his rough hands can be heard against it as he slowly walks by.
“just stay there. don’t want you falling down the stairs or something.” he had always been protected of Lilith, even when he felt he couldn’t keep her from causing harm to others or himself. he continues to reach out while his humor makes the best of their situation. “think of it as an authentic experience when we get the candles out.”
