First day of my second quarter in graduate school! I’m excited to conquer both my school work and my own personal projects. Willoughby is here to cheer everyone on! Happy Monday to all of you 🌼

Four ski huts documented by Emma Longcope / @emma.longcope

1. Tagert Hut perched in Colorado’s Elk Mountains. A luxurious basecamp for the incredible multitude of ski mountaineering descents nearby.

2. Mint Hut, accessed from Hatcher Pass, this hut is the first step of the Bomber Traverse in the Talkeetna Mountains in Alaska. The cozy structure, maintained by the Mountaineering Club of Alaska, was built in 1971 and is painted red to stand out from the nearby glaciers.

3. Bomber Hut, is a tin hut is the second step of the Bomber Traverse in the Talkeetna Mountains, and is also maintained by the Mountaineering Club of Alaska. Accessed via glacier and mountain pass, this little structure provides a respite from the wild, windswept tundra it sits upon.

4. Snowbird Hut was built and maintained by volunteers of the American Alpine Club, the Snowbird Hut is often the final stop upon the Bomber Traverse of the Talkeetna Mountains. If you can find it and are an AAC member, the hut is free.

Day 46 :: November 21, 2018 :: Wednesday

Anxiety is making a comeback and I’m trying to manage it. Having some breakfast for once while working on finishing tasks for next week. I want to have a stress free weekend so I’m doing everything in advance. I just can’t wait for today to be over. I still have a seminar later this day but hey, it’ll pass. I can do this!! 🌸

It snowed!! Enjoying the weather with comfy clothes and some chai tea. Have a math test and psychology test coming up on Monday, so trying to understand math :) I also may have torn my left hamstring so that’s fun :/

oct 21 | The last week of classes is finally here! I feel on top of my reading and exam preparation at the moment so I have spent a fair bit of my weekend reading, going out for dinner with friends and my partner, and going to the cinemas (I saw First Man - it was amazing!). Spending the last stretch of my Sunday reviewing and writing notes for my criminal law and contract law readings.

27 Sept ‘18 // Working in my college library this morn on some reading for my thesis. Cambridge is still yawning from the summer, weirdly quiet and gradually shading into myriad oranges. Michaelmas term officially resumes in a week, and the undergraduates start arriving in full force this weekend.
