So, in order to lose some weight, I have decided to cut out sugar completely. Threw out all the sugary treats and snacks in my house, except for the things my husband eats. After a week with no sugar, my neighbor gives me about 30 handpicked cooking apples. So I decided to test my self control and make apple hand pies for my family. I ate one, the day after I made them. Considering the last time I made these I ate 6 that day, I am doing fantastic and I'm proud of myself.

My 4 month old falls asleep in my arms as I pace the living room simultaneously watching a movie.

I lay my baby boy down for the night. He sleeps in my room still as his nights are a little unstable at times.

I get to bed and just as I get comfortable, I hear a stirring next to me. My little boy is whining.

There are times I hear some whining but it is followed by sleep. This time was different. He starts getting louder and this is not a cry that says "I woke up, come get me".

The crying I hear after he's been asleep for 2 hours is "I woke up and I want my mommy to hold me". At this point it is late and I'm ready to fall asleep. Hearing my baby boy sigh with relief when I pick him up is amazing.

To know you are so loved by someone who doesn't know much of the world is an unforgettable feeling.

I will wake up in the middle of the night time and time again to rock my baby back to sleep because that's what he needs.
