Will didn’t miss how she snatched the other half, but he didn’t stop her knowing there were plenty more in the sack. “Not quite, though many of the friendly animals around camp are beginning to recognize me, they don’t run when I come to study them. Give them time and I’m sure they’ll become more relaxed around us. Feel free to join me when I go out, you might grow on them as well.”
“I would absolutely love to do that. I should be working, but it’s kind of nice to be able to get away from something that feels so mindless.” Allegra smiled slightly, glancing up at him momentarily before turning her gaze back down to the bowl. “I appreciate it, really. The distraction is nice.”
"Who said it's not working? We can just say you're helping me study the native wildlife. I'll leave it up to you to sketch all the animals-- never been much of an artist myself."
