Angelica observed the dress in peaceful quietness, nodding approvingly once the other gave his opinion on the gown as a grin graced upon her features, fingertips brushing the expensive material hanging in front of her. It was sophisticated and the skirt fell gracefully, in comparison to the revealing one she had put it up against. “Good job, you’re a fast learner” the brunette told the other with a teasing tone before separating the chosen dress from the rest, walking towards the nearest mirror and placing it before her, admiring it for a brief minute before hanging it on the door. “Do you have a decent enough suit or do I need to sort that out?” she inquired, quirking a brow.
Upon hearing his response ( and sensing her obvious confusion, Angelica smirked, taking a sit across him before shrugging her shoulders idly “Rumor has it I am.. challenging to work with” she began, tilting her head to the side, pensive. “And, surprisingly enough, I enjoy working with you. I just need to know the feeling is mutual. I understand I make much demands but think of the hell it would be working over 12 hours a day in a hostile situation. Just making sure everything is in order. You’d be surprised what previous assistants have done as ‘pay back’.”
With a smile of pride, Will relaxed a bit as he knew he did well. Maybe fashion wasn’t his end goal, but he always wanted to do a good job. Something about pleasing Angelica, who was known to be hard to please, made the small victory a little bit sweeter. Holding in a chuckle, he kept his face as straight as he could, not acknowledging the rumor. Sure he’d heard things while going out for the job, but he didn’t think it was as bad as people said. Truth be told, sometimes it was, but he took it all in stride. “I have a suit.” He said simply. It may not have been the nicest, most expensive suit, but it was good enough for a wedding, which was the last place he wore it to. He was a little confused as to why she asked, but not thick enough not to assume that maybe, just maybe, she wanted him to tag along to the function.
“Every genius is challenging to their assistant.” He said with a smile. He wasn’t trying to suck up, but he was honest either way. “ If it was something I couldn’t handle I know they’re hiring at every bar on the strip.” He joked. Jokes aside, his face turned a little serious. There was something about hearing her say she enjoyed his company made him nervous, but it also made him happy. Giving her a reassuring smile, he reached out to place his hand over hers -- an action that was born out of habit without thinking, and nodded. “I like m job. I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t.” It took a moment for him to realize where his hand was, yanking it back and clearing his throat as he looked away in another direction. “ Are you talking about Layla? She’s a little scary, I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s how she got her promotion.” He tried to joke to ease the tension he just created.
