Introducing Instagram Stories

Today, we’re introducing Instagram Stories, a new feature that lets you share all the moments of your day, not just the ones you want to keep on your profile. As you share multiple photos and videos, they appear together in a slideshow format: your story.

With Instagram Stories, you don’t have to worry about overposting. Instead, you can share as much as you want throughout the day — with as much creativity as you want. You can bring your story to life in new ways with text and drawing tools. The photos and videos will disappear after 24 hours and won’t appear on your profile grid or in feed.

You’ll see stories from people you follow in a bar at the top of your feed — from your best friends to your favorite popular accounts. When there’s something new to see, their profile photo will have a colorful ring around it.

To view someone’s story, just tap on their profile photo. It’s easy to view stories at your own pace: tap to go back and forward or swipe to jump to another person’s story. If you want to comment on something you see, you can tap and send a private message to that person on Instagram Direct. Unlike regular posts, there are no likes or public comments.

Your story follows the privacy settings of your account. If you set your account to private, your story is visible only to your followers. However, you can also easily hide your entire story from anyone you don’t want to see it, even if they follow you. When watching your own story, swipe up to check out who’s seen each photo and video. You can even choose to feature a particular part of your story by posting it on your profile.

Instagram has always been a place to share the moments you want to remember. Now you can share your highlights and everything in between, too.

It is a new iOS keyboard from Google that lets you search and send search results, GIFs, emojis and more, right from your keyboard.

I needed a way to capture a full web page in my browser, including portions of the page below the fold. I came across this handy dandy Chrome extension which does the job perfectly. The paid version even lets you make annotations and other bunch of stuff. Hope someone finds this #useful

Utilize every minute, don't loose a sec.

Is it necessary or are we just unnecessarily pushing ourselves too hard?

If you are someone like me; then you just want to achieve the most of every minute of your life. This is common to Nerds, to be nothing but productive and never waste a minute at that – Time is so precious to us

On a Plane: ok let me read a book, or maybe list the things I should do as soon we land, I could as well do the spreadsheets on my Android tab.

Arrived early to a meeting: Let me edit my to-do list, reply some emails, check the server statuses, or write some key points on my jotter for the proposal I will send out next week.

Driving: Why not listen to an audio-book?

Watching TV with the family: I can also be answering emails, do sit-ups because yoga is good during movies.

Having lunch with a friend? Maybe we can talk about business to make it a productive lunch bro.

This is the mindset that we’re supposed to have. Every minute counts, because time’s a-wasting. The clock is ticking. The sands of the hourglass are spilling.

But really, do we have to do all this? How about love, how about fun, how about enjoying life. What about sleep and meditation?

I am struggling hard to reverse this Nerdy life, I am starting to work on taking things easy now. Like a wise man once wrote… “Work to live, don’t live to work!”
