Claps my hands, does anyone wanna write with Apollo
Daphne : You love me, right?
Apollo : Of course
Daphne : Does that mean you will stop constantly bringing hyacinths in? You need to move on
Apollo : Close the door in your way out.
Broken Heart
Apollo:I like him, and him, and him-
Artemis:There are only pictures of Hyacinthus
Apollo:*Sobs* I know
I don’t much like the whole “Hyacinthus is a delicate flower prince who was pretty but not much good for anything else and he just sat around waiting to be owned loved by people”.
I do, however, love the idea of Hyacinthus being powerful and confident, adored by his kingdom, strong, well- trained, an amazing sword- fighter, and really smart (strategically, because he was a spartan prince who had to study war and such, and intellectually, because he was educated as a prince should be: in all sorts of things).
Hyacinthus has princesses and princes and nobles all throwing themselves at him. And then, then, minor gods and goddesses start showing up, and then eventually he has Olympus’s favor and two gods who both claim to love him (zephyros is a liar and a whore who thinks with his genitalia, but I digress).
And after Hyacinthus falls in love with Apollo Hyacinthus is still smart and strong and skilled.
They’re both young (Apollo, I imagine, is still a young god so they’re mental ages are pretty close) but they’re in love and happy and that’s why Hyacinthus’s death is so sad: because their love wasn’t about power and control, it was about learning each other’s habits and smiles and laughs and training together for the simple joy of relaxed competition.
Both of them being interested equally in the arts and in sports and sharing each together. As partners. As soulmates.
Hyacinthus isn’t a play thing to be owned. Hyacinthus and Apollo both respect each other and love each other and neither of them are above the other because that’s not what love is.
Hermes: {About Daphne} So you like her?
Apollo: yes
Hermes: {About Hyacinth} But you also like him?
Apollo: yes!
Hermes: well now im confused, do you like boys or girls?
Apollo: {Grabs Hermes by tge shoulders} YES!!!
Greek Mythology Meme | Three Humans [ 2 / 3 ]
Hyacinthus: a beautiful young Spartan prince, he was admired by Apollo, god of prophecy and music, as well as Zephyros, the West wind; he favored Apollo, and Zephyros became jealous; while the lovers were playing discus one day, the wind blew Apollo’s disc off course and caused it to strike Hyacinthus in the head, killing him; he was turned into a flower by Apollo, and the god’s tears stained the flower’s petals with the sign of his grief
