“And they are really jumping out of the box when I open it?” Josephine had never had a chocolate frog before, and was unsure now if she should really open the one she’d just bought.
“Mhm, so be ready to catch it.”

“And they are really jumping out of the box when I open it?” Josephine had never had a chocolate frog before, and was unsure now if she should really open the one she’d just bought.
“Mhm, so be ready to catch it.”
“Fair enough.”
“Like,-” His words were slurred, “If your boyfriend just up and left and then your psychopathic mother was murdered by your best friend, would you want to talk about it?”
“No, fucking forget it. Asshole.”
“Kaine, I’m really sorry.” Will dug around in his pockets for his wallet, pulling out all the notes within it, handing it to him. “Sorry.” He said meekly.
“She, what?” Ingrid’s eyes widened as she covered her mouth, doing her best to hold back her laughter. “Why is she like this?”
“I don’t even know, too much vodka?” He suggested.
The girl was exhausted, there were bags under her eyes and her clothes were wrinkled from not caring much. “I don’t really know,” she finally spoke honestly after a moment’s hesitation. “I’m not sure how I’m meant to feel about everything,” Ingrid admitted, finally taking a seat at the edge of the bed.
“You and me both.” He sighed, going to sit next to her. “I feel like I should be relieved, but I’m not, and I don’t know why. That bitch put us through hell.”
“We might need to get jobs for that, but that does sound like a great future.”
“I’m actually pretty sure my crazy ass grandma would pitch in.”
“Yup, just a quarter. I might give you something to drink to go with, and don’t be so offended, most people don’t get anything.”
“Fine, fine. You’re lucky I love you, and Agnes would be more pissed at me if we fell out over pizza cake.”
“Yep that’s right. I am! How have you been?”
“Damn, it’s been a while. Uh, I’ve been... shit, honestly, but I’m getting better. You?”
Nicole looked back towards the voice. She stopped her efforts of standing, just sitting there on the floor. “Yeah, I’m just peachy.” She grunted out. “Just, you know, kicked back by the rebound.”
“You look hurt, want me to help? I’m a healer.” He mumbled, making his way over, holding out his hand to help her up.
“I really, really am sorry. I can pay for them? Buy you a new pair? I’m sorry.”
“This is what my grandma sent me for a late Christmas present, does she actually expect me to wear this?”
“It could be worse, she got me a blow up boyfriend doll.”
“Oh wow, It’s been a lot longer than I expected.” Jack said as he looked at the school.
“Hey, Jack, right? You’re back!”
“Well, that went great.” Nicole started to push herself up off of the ground with one hand, feeling around for her wand with the other.
Hearing the sound of someone hitting the ground, Will looked up from his comic. “Shit, that looked painful. Are you alright?”
“Oh… do you want to talk about it? It’s okay if you don’t want to.”
“Preferably not, talking is just meh, man, meh.”
“Oh my god, can we? That would be incredible, let’s do it.”
“Yes! Let’s do it. We can buy a huge house and name it something cool.”
“Half? That sounds a little too generous, perhaps I’ll give you like a quarter.”
“A quarter? Seriously? Is that what all these years of friendship is worth to you? I am offended.”
Everything had happened so quickly, her mother was dead and Ethan had fled, not that she blamed him. She would’ve done the same, had the roles been reversed. Sighing, she pushed the door open and walked in cautiously. “Hi,” she murmured softly, not sure what else to say but she knew they needed to talk.
Hearing a familiar voice, Will smiled weakly, glancing up at her. “Hey, hi.” He mumbled, gesturing for her to sit on the bed as he swivelled around on his chair. “How have you been holding up?”
