You got me on full librarian mode now!
so, recent discussions around the Hellenic community, and the amazing survey by @thegrapeandthefig, showed us a shared problem we all face- either too much information to even start reading, or lack of information on certain topics.
My daily job is being an information specialist, and sometimes I build databases. I want to help my fellow Hellenic polytheists any way I can, so I figured, we could all use a database.
I believe that knowledge should be free, I believe that books and articles should be open for public use, and I believe each and every one of us has the right to contribute to the great pool of wisdom and use it for themselves.
Hence, I made an open google drive folder, it has 3 main functions:
1. hold the digital copies of books, articles, and texts each of us feel conferrable sharing with the public (I’ll categorize them later)
2. encourage people who read the material to summarize it for the use of others. we want to share our knowledge; it is useless when it stays in our heads
3. have some room for discussion and interpretations. Got some ideas about a text you read? please share it with us. anyone can comment on the files we upload, be kind and mind your manners, but asking questions is a good thing, and being able to criticize politely is a virtue. practice it.
In order for it to work, upload what you have, download what you need, and philosophize, think, and share ideas with your community.
