Varigo Week day 1: “I Promise”

I’ve had these 2 stuck in my brain the past few days so I rewatched the movie again last night hehe

I had an idea for an animation but I wanted to draw these first to see if I could pull off what I have in mind. No promises about actually animating anything at the moment but I do really really love how these turned out

Didn’t know what to draw so I just used one of those ship prompt generator things and it gave me this idea

My brother has been really hyperfixated on warrior cats recently and the other day he brought up possibly trying to make a vat7k warrior cats AU so I'm helping him with that now mwahahahhaha

He says he'll probably never join the regular vat7k fandom but he's pretty interested in this idea. I just like yapping abt vat7k no matter what so it's a win for me either way

Also the 2 of us going back and forth with him trying to explain warrior cats lore & me trying to explain vat7k/tts lore is really funny

Redraw of my first ever Vat7k fanart‼️

The original is from December 3rd 2024, I just finished this new one today on May 6th 2026. I was actually pretty surprised by the improvement here, my art has changed a lot more than I thought

Sometimes I forget that I redesigned Nuru’s dress cuz I never draw the original design. Having 2 translucent fabrics on top of eachother makes me so mad and after drawing it once I knew I never wanted to do it again lmaoo

Genuine question but how does Hugo’s hair from Varian and the seven kingdoms even work? Is it just an undercut at the back with a rat tail hanging or is there some other hair at the bottom or something?

Not sure if this’ll help but I looooveee Hugo’s hair it’s one of my favorite parts abt him so I drew this up

I mention at the bottom here that flipping between hair being on the front/side isn’t realistic (as long as he isn’t secretly taking down and putting up his hair in a slightly different way every time he turns lmao) and that’s true, but I wanted to clarify that I was only talking about *that specific aspect* of *me* drawing his hair, and that I tried to keep the rest of the actual tutorial itself consistent with itself & reality.
