“Mierna & the Circus of Mysteries” is the first in a book series of five illustrated short stories. It follows a young woman in her early twenties trying to find the reason behind a circus that comes to her rural town. Color is being drained from the landscape. The crops on her family farm is beginning to wither and die. Even the people seemed drained of energy. Yet the circus is more alive and colorful than when it first arrived... and when everything started changing. 

Mierna discovers the circus is tied to the Fae, a faerie wonderland of folklore and legend, only written about but never seen... or so she believes. Mierna has a treasure trove of collected books on the subject matter, but could it be the actors are really creatures from the Fae? 

Their star performer happens to be a púca by the name of Vlanders, who has no shame in showing off his dancing skills in the arena... or the glow of power pulsating from his twisted horns.
