The Western Cape #weightlifting Trials. I missed this body weight #snatch (an epic milestone I've only done once) and then went on to miss all my C&J at a weight I thought I was 100% comfortable with. I BOMBED I'm not posting this for recognition or to boast (we made the team and are going to SA's) but because I am a fierce competitor and to"fail" like I did yesterday would usually result in me questioning my capabilities and berating and belittling myself. Failure is an opportunity to learn. Instead I hugged my Swede, cheered on the other bad ass lifters and ate a #QuestBar I then smashed a 5km run this morning and will begin working on my weaknesses I.e THE JERK I won't ever miss this weight again. I love sport because not only does it foster a healthy body but if you let it (don't let your ego get in the way) you can foster one hell of a formidable mind.
