Time has been passing by so quickly.

We're getting married in 77 days! And we're picking out wedding bands today. Somehow it still didn't feel quite real most of the time, but I can't wait to marry you. 6/11/16

That’s what you asked me ten days ago. I can’t believe we’ve been engaged for ten days already! 

I know you don’t think it was perfect and you want a re-do once we have the ring (I sort of do too, since I was crying so much I couldn’t even muster a “yes”) but that was the best moment of my life up to now. I get to spend the rest of my life with my best friend. I’ve been waiting for that moment my entire life. 

I know we’re already stressed about stuff with the wedding and money and things like that, but I can’t go a single day without thanking God for giving you to me, or thinking how lucky and blessed I am to be with someone who works so hard to make sure that I’m always happy and that I have everything I need, even on the days that it’s most difficult. Even though it’s hard sometimes, (and sometimes it seems like all of the time) it has never not felt worth it to be with you. I wake up every day knowing what it means to choose you over again, and I don’t hesitate for a second, because even on our worst days, you are still the best thing that has ever happened to me. More than anything, I’m thankful that you choose me every day, too. 

Thank you for loving me and caring for my heart as well as all the rest of me. Thank you for always being there and making all my problems seem smaller because I know I can handle anything with you next to me. Thank you for making every day something to look forward to because I get to spend it with you. Thank you for believing in me even when it’s hard, and being patient with me when I don’t succeed the way either of us wanted. Thank you for reminding me numerous times a day how beautiful I am and how much you love me. Thank you for showing that love constantly with little acts of kindness and generosity, like secretly cutting up strawberries for me when you know I plan on having them with my pancakes the next morning. Thank you for choosing me, over and over, every day, and making it impossible for me to ever imagine not doing the same.

I can’t imagine living in a world where I don’t fall asleep with your arms around me and wake up to your kisses. I know that no one could ever love me as well as you do, and no one could ever be as thankful as I am to have been given the opportunity to walk through life with you. My world is so much more full and beautiful with you in it, and I can’t wait to marry you.

I know sometimes you go to bed earlier but you could at least try to call and leave me a message so I’d know you were thinking about me and I’d get to hear your voice. You told me tonight that you sleep better with me there; I sleep better when I hear you tell me that you love me.
