Growing up surrounded by a loving (and numerous) family, one would certainly expect Luna to be close with each and every member of it. However, that wasn’t quite the case.
Despite not spending much time outside and only really interacting with her siblings, there were some who she never seemed to get along. Silas was one such sibling.
They hardly ever talked, and when they did it never went more than a greeting or small talk. Luna was to blame on this regard, there was just something about Silas that made her uneasy. Maybe it was because he took to much after their father…
But then again, so did she.
Regardless, he was her family and family should try to get along. Maybe she just needs to get to know him better. Be nice.
“Silas. We certainly have not.” Luna eyed him, mustering a small smile. “It has, but it’s been good. What about you? Does father still send you off on errands?”
Silas refrains the urge to size up his own half-sister, as there doesn’t seem to be much at all to size up. He also refrains from commenting on what he perceives to be a snippy attitude, since that would likely end this exchange prematurely, and this whole thing would be an entire waste of time.
“Errands, yes, I suppose you could call them that.” Never mind that they are important duties fulfilled on behalf of the esteemed Black Fucking Dragon, but Silas uses his inside thought-voice for that, amazingly.
“Between you and me, he has been a tad bit moody. I think he feels threatened by the sudden increase in the Order’s attendance, and the Resistance has been awfully quiet lately. Maybe I’m reading too much into this, but that would be my thoughts if I were in his position.” He avoids eye contact with Luna as he speaks, only glancing to her face occasionally.
“...But I don’t mean to vent to you about it, and I think I might have hit a dead end. I don’t suppose you would have heard or seen anything unusual, have you?” Silas probes covertly. The question is loaded, but asked innocently. A test of Luna’s loyalty.
