A Brand-New Challenge (Rags to Riches with a Twist) I decided to do a rags to riches challenge, but I wanted to make it more challenging. So instead of doing a regular rag to riches challenge I thought it would be a fun idea to attempt to build up the entire town of Newcrest while attempting the rags to riches challenge. Down below you find the rules that I set for myself, and if you'd like to attempt this, you're free to do so!
Main Objectives: (I'm still working on these as I go)
Start off with a single sim who has no money and move them into the biggest lot on Newcrest. This will be your founder sim who wants to build up the entire town of Newcrest.
The founder has to find people to invite into their town. Townies have to be young adult, unmarried sims. Your founder has to be good friends with them before they invite them in.
This will most likely be a legacy type of let's play, and the first generation of townies aren't allowed to work normal jobs. They have to make money in different ways such as collecting, painting, crafting, ect.
Townies aren't allowed to leave Newcrest.
Townies can't get married to other townies until the town has saved up enough simoleons to build them a tiny house to move into.
If enough money has been saved up townies can move onto a different lot, but the Founder has to move out first. If you move out townies from the main lot you can begin playing with these household rotationally.
Once the townies move out they have to start paying a weekly tax to our founder family.
The tax paid to the Founding family can be used to build a bigger home for the fonder or contribute to the town of Newcrest by building up Newcrest.
Your town will be complete when you've filled up the entire town of Newcrest. Some of the things I'd like to build is a town park, restaurant, rec center, retirement home for the elders, and a museum or graveyard to collect memories of the legacy of our town.
Again, I'm kind of coming up with new rules as I go, but these are kind of the base rules.
