Miglo :: Sittin’ Here Sittin’ Now
Let the madness coalesce after the last cymbal hit and Miglo’s bellow, “Finally have to know whats in my head!!” —in that decaying instant it just might become perceptible to envision sound as space—the intrepid forever dome that is our imagination—constantly and instantly catapulting us into ourselves. I guess that’s what hot fusion funk will get you to start thinking about…Miglo is a transcendent musician and there’s so much music-stuff in this song it’s hard to know where to start. It’s got a remarkable pocket of a groove—this kind of forever rotating syncopated motion that’ll tip you back only to throw you forward which is a too many character’d way of saying it will make you dance. I am dancing. There are horns digging it. The solo. Got dang! And the whole band is just absolutely working it through that bit. Drummer might have one of the sexiest drum breaks of the year.
Miglo is a studying medicine man so i will conclude with saying this track is recommended for your daily dose of iron, niacin, & vitamin PRESH
