I stole Dirk’s account, expecting some form of interesting discourse. All I see are bad puns and the occasional shitpost. I have found my people. In other news, I was tempted to make my tag “Hal-lo From The Other Side” but I figured Adele is too Last Decade. So instead, have a really backwards HAL 9000 reference.

The android is soothing. He has always been better with synthetic life than organic, he almost reaches out to grasp at them childishly, but in the end, he doesn’t, he just stands slowly, dusting himself off a bit.

“Sorry…” Should he lie? No, the truth then. “You uh, remind me of someone who was very important to me, who kinda, disappeared.” not dead not dead not dead! Not dead! Not dead!

Inhale, exhale. 

“Thanks, sorry, my sign is a little rusty.” he admits, looking to Dirk. “Didn’t mean t’ scare you, thought I was seein’ a ghost is all.” the Oxy is settling over him, helps his racing thoughts and heart to settle. “Wouldn’t much fight back even if you did try t’ hurt me anyway, not afraid of bein’ hurt” he admits, and then motions to each bag in turn.

“Uh, anyway, this is food, and that’s medical supplies, and the last one is clothing.”

Dirk still seems cautious, but he nods, now hiding behind the android slightly. He’s not the best at dealing with physical interaction, and his fight or flight is absolutely screaming at him. He stays behind them, as the bot offers a smile- that one he’d picked up from old movies, that one he knew made hearts melt, everything is calculated to be perfectly comforting.

“Don’t worry about it. It’s taken me a while to teach everyone in the settlement how to understand him, so I’m used to being his voice.” He pauses, “...I’m Hal. In case you hadn’t known. And... Thanks. For bringing us supplies, you have no idea how much it means to both of us.”

After a moment, Dirk does relax slightly, and stops hiding so much as he is just standing behind his bot, friend, brother, lover, and he offers what is nothing more than a nervous upturning of lips. He does appreciate it. He’s just used to any abnormalities meaning insanity has kicked in, and he needs to either hide, or attack.

Mutie’s skin goes practically white impressive since he’s still under anon and is technically a gem, too many things come rushing back to him. Skynet’s creator was also was was was is was where did they go dead now maybe gone baby gone never said a word shouldn’t have let them go back dead now maybe? His fault should’ve helped more done more done done done. 

His pupils are pin-prick small. Tiny dots of black in his eyes, which are orange but glimmer in rainbow hues here and there. His hair is cream-white, but shimmers in any light that hits it in opalescent hues, when he stops being so pale, his skin will go back to being pale orange.

He’s shaking all over. Trembling, he reaches into his pocket for another pill. Should stop, gonna kill your liver. So be it.

He pops, dry swallows, and almost throws up. 

Sign, language? Oh god, he was never very good at this one. Okay… Let’s see.

“Hello.” he greets back softly, “I, uh, brought you some.” his eyes slide down to Dirk’s chest. Brows furrowing. He still has some of That person’s binders that they never got a chance to take. He wonders if they would fit Courage? There are a few sizes, so maybe, next time he’ll, bring those…His stomach churns again.

“I uh, brought you some gifts.”

It’s obvious, immediately, that something is wrong with the man that came to visit. Is he sick? Is he dangerous? Dirk takes a few steps back, immediately afraid, alert, waiting for attack. 

The ink-stained android, however, is more concerned for the other, however. He blinks a few times, crimson eyes trying to scan over the younger-looking ‘human’, before he slinks over curiously, standing between the threat- no not threat no they’re scared something is wrong- and his beloved creator. 

“...I can talk for him.” Their voice is synthetic, obviously not human, but clear and smooth. “I can tell you’re struggling. Uh, we aren’t going to hurt you, if that’s the issue.” What’s wrong, scared little bird, you’re acting like you’ve seen a cat.
