So,...This is it huh?
I remember the first time I watched SMG4, I was 7 years old, and my older brother was showing me the "Castle Royale" video while translating it into French because there weren't any subtitles yet.
Two years later, I was scrolling through YouTube and stumbled across it again and thought, "Hey, I know this guy!", But I didn't know that starting to watch it would change my life forever. It was my whole childhood those completely silly videos always cheered me up during my toughest times, to the point of helping me overcome my depression. I still regret losing interest around 2020 (partly because there were no more subtitles and my English was terrible), because I missed one of the best arcs of the channel. I came back at the end of 2022 and caught up, and I haven't stopped watching since.
He inspired me, like many others, improved my art and create characters that I hope to share with you someday (lack of time, you know..). I wouldn't be the same person I am today without SMG4. Above all, he introduced me to extraordinary artists and people by joining this fandom that I love, despite its ups and downs (Twitter, eh? *cough*). But even the negative aspects of this fandom and the completely unnecessary hatred from this channel taught me to focus on the positive and ignore the negative.
I never imagined how much these little adventures with these wacky characters would affect me, leaving me with a feeling that many people will never understand, making me laugh throughout and cry at the end.
But I know this isn't the end of this fandom, I know we will continue to keep this series alive, myself included.
I can't wait to show you what I've created. Despite my slow drawing skills and school, of course, that won't stop me from posting my little stories, it will take the time it need :)
So above all I wanted to say is thank you SMG4, for everything ! 💙
See you all next year! ;)
