So sick of my job.
It sounds like rain.
And from what i can remember, it is quite a beautiful place to live. I was sort of thrown about a little bit until I was eleven.
It can be. Depends on where you go. But I think just about everywhere is like that. It's home, pretty or not, though.
It sounds like rain.
I was born and raised here. Well not much raised but that is another story for another day.
Ah same as me, then. Except I was actually raised here. London's home to me.
It sounds like rain.
So what brings you to London? Is it work or just pleasure?
I live here, so both. What about you?
It sounds like rain.
Well now that does sound very beautiful. Something like that makes me wish that I could see it you know? Although there are sometimes that I am glad that I cannot see. The world is ugly.
Can't argue with that. Would be nice if I could.
Help! || Toni & Callum
“Ok, I’m just waiting for you in the…” a whisper right in his ear stopped him from continuing his answer and before he could even say hi the ball Toni was holding was thrown to his back. “Hey! That’s assault!” he mock complained. He rubbed, or tried, the spot where the ball had hit him. It really wasn’t painful, not at all, but he was actually in a playful mood. It wasn’t usual nowadays and he was planning on enjoying the outing as much as he could. He just hoped he wasn’t too hopeless at this.
He had never felt the need to play soccer with his friends, he was really scrawny when he was a kid and he thought he would probably end up with something broken if he even tried. When he was older and stronger he was already in Hogwarts and not many were interested in muggle sports when they could play sports that involved explosions and flying. It was understandable. He had even tried being better than just capable of flying but had failed, thus leaving his chances of ever being on the Quidditch team at zero. Not that he really wanted to be a part of it. Not him. He was a bookworm and nothing else.
“Now, I will forgive you just because you are wasting your time trying to help me” he said with an easy smile. Maybe it was the sun, shinning for the first time in the whole week even if it was mostly cloudy, or maybe it was just the company but he felt like he could actually do this. He would try his best not to make her time worthless. He wouldn’t want to disappoint her.
Laughing, Toni started walking backwards so she could talk to him. "If that's assault, then you're in trouble, love. Soccer can be a bit of a contact sport, yeah?" She couldn't help but grin. There was nothing that made Toni feel more at ease than running around playing one sport or another. Quidditch happened to be her favorite, but when it came to on the ground, soccer was a close second.
She spun the ball on a finger as she walked, in a better mood than she'd been in since the kidnapping. When it came to playing sports, her looks and upbringing didn't matter. All that mattered was her skill level. Toni felt confident in her abilities, which made her a good teacher.
"No one is a waste of time, Callum," she corrected, shaking her head. "Even if you learn nothing, I bet we'll still have fun." Pointing the fore finger of her free hand at him, she squinted speculatively. "You're a worrier, aren't you?" It wasn't really a question so much as her stating an observation. Turning back around to walk beside him, catching the ball between her hands, she tilted her head to look at the man. "Do me a favor, and just let yourself have some fun, alright?"
It sounds like rain.
I just wish that I could see it. How wonderful it would be to see the rain fall and the drops to fall into a puddle, creating just a tiny splash. Oh how I crave those days.
It's mostly a mess of a grey. Not as pretty as it sounds. I saw it rain in Hawaii on vacation once. That was beautiful. Somehow the grey sky made all the plants more green and bright.
For a few Drinks More||Devlin & Toni
Devlin knew in the back of his mind that this was the dumbest idea he had ever conjured up in his head. He wasn`t this kind of person, he wasn`t a fuck up. He followed the rules. He took responsibility. He didn`t think for himself. This was why. When he thought for himself he got distracted by a pretty face and a little persistence. Then again what man could refuse someone that looked like Antonia Wolfe? She was undeniably beautiful. Undeniably and for some reason she wanted to spend her time around someone like Devlin. He`d told her about Azakaban. That normally got rid of everyone. It was just easier to be alone. Devlin worked alone. He didn`t need a companion, but here was this girl with striking feature just hanging around him as if he had something important to offer. What could a man without a soul possibly offer to someone so full of life?
Not since his imprisonment had Devlin had a single friend. There was Avery and Marlowe, but he didn`t even consider them his friends. More like co-workers. The feeling he associated with Antonia was completely foreign to him. If he were smarter, more experienced, Devlin would have realised that it was a crush. Something people experienced throughout school. Unlike normal teenagers, Devlin had been too focused on studying rather than trying to find that person in school they wanted to kiss, to touch and be with for just a few moments longer than appropriate. These were the thoughts he had for Toni. Merlin, that was such an awful nickname. Toni reminded him of some kind of greasy Italian exchange student at Hogwarts. It didn`t fit an elegant girl with refined features, though the nickname did fit her crass mouth.
It seemed too risky to try apparating seeing as he had told Antonia to meet him in a muggle town. Still, he apparated into an alley he knew all too well that was located just a few blocks from the pub. The rest of the way, Devlin continued on foot. Once inside it wasn`t hard for him to spot Antonia. She was sitting alone, which was a bit of a shock (he just assumed men were always swarming around her). As he approached her, Devlin felt a sense of impending doom. This was such a stupid idea, but he was going through with it. She hadn`t seen him yet, so maybe he could turn back. As he finished the thought, though, he was standing before her awkwardly. With a curt nod, he greeted her. “Antonia…. One drink.” One drink wouldn`t hurt, would it?
While she waited, Toni mulled over her first encounter with Devlin. The man had interesting from the start. Most men, even if uninterested in her, were obviously affected by her appearance. It was very rare that they were nonreactive entirely. Even more rare was the snark and disdain that had initially been shown. Their banter had been satisfying in a way conversation hadn't for Toni in a very long time. Most of the time, men were either intimidated, wanted to flirt, or condescending, thinking a pretty face couldn't possibly be hiding a brain. She could play in to any of those when necessary, but she much preferred being herself, and her conversation with Devlin had allowed that.
His past didn't much matter to her, seeing as he'd been released and all charges dropped. He hadn't done it, and that's all that mattered to her. Taking a long pull from her drink, Toni mulled over their last conversation. It was as if Devlin was perpetually surprised she wanted to speak to him, much less be seen in public with him. She found that heartbreaking and fully intended to show otherwise once he got there. Everyone deserved at least a chance. If he proved to be less savory than she thought, it wouldn't be terribly difficult to just pull away. Sometimes, it seemed he'd almost prefer it.
Pulled from her thoughts by a man offering to buy her a drink, she waved away the stranger and turned her attention to the bar's telly. When Devlin finally did arrive, it wasn't until he was spoke to her that Toni even saw him. Startling, she nearly knocked over her beer. "Jesus, Devlin..." But then she couldn't help but smile. Poor fellow looked so awkward and lost. Patting the barstool next to her, she teased, "Can't very well drink standing. And one for you, I hope. I won't be sticking to just one. No fun in that."

I can stay for the night. If you want.
Definitely. Yes. Stay.
...... [private]
I can only promise that I`ll tell you when I`m leaving. I can`t tell you where I am going, or for how long, but I can tell you when. Okay?
Okay. I can live with that.
...... [private]
You`re so….
I care about you, okay? This is the only time I am going to say it, so listen closely. I care about you. A lot. Only you. I don`t know why, but it`s you, Antonia.
I care about you too. I.. Only you sounds about right. I was all twisted up while you were gone. Even went and bought some damn rats to make myself feel better. I'm really glad you're back, and I'm even happier you're okay.

If you didn`t mean something I wouldn`t be difficult. I was like this before.
Then I'll take it as a compliment?
...... [private]
I….. can`t promise that, but I`ll try my hardest.
I'm starting to wonder if you take pleasure from being so difficult.
...... [private]
I wouldn`t - just… just stay safe. Promise me.
I promise. But you have to promise me the same. And if you leave again, can you warn me?
...... [private]
It`s incredibly hard because I don`t know what I`ll do if anything happens to you because of me.
Nothing's going to happen to me.. I'll be fine. I've started taking precautions since the kidnapping. And even if something did, I don't know why it'd be anything you did. Stop thinking so much.
